Your role at a glance

As our Security Officer, you will be reporting to the Security Manager and will be part of our team of Security Officers for one of our Data Center in London. You will be responsible for ensuring the security of our Data Center sites, Clients, Visitors and NTT GDC EMEA colleagues by patrolling property; monitoring surveillance equipment; inspecting buildings, equipment, and access points; permitting entry. You will prevent losses and damage by reporting irregularities and informing violators of policy and procedures to ensure the security of the facility and the safety of all visitors and employees.
You will be required to work on a 4 on / 4 off shift pattern, days and nights including weekends. Each shift is 12 hours long. The Day shift is from 7:00 am until 7:00 pm and the night shift is from 7:00 pm to 7:00 am.

What we are looking for

  • Hold a valid Front-Line SIA Licence

  • If required, be able to work on a 12-hour rolling shift rota, 4 days and 4 nights including week-ends and public holidays

  • Communicate effectively at all levels and possess good relationship building skills

  • Possess initiative with an inquisitive nature, good observations skills, unafraid to ask appropriate questions

  • To undergo full security checks to BS7858:2019

 What you will do

  • Managing access control procedures to ensure only authorised personnel are permitted into the building or other specific areas

  • Issue passes and collecting relevant ID

  • Monitor of CCTV

  • Assist in fire drills and alarms

  • Ensuring Health and Safety rules are always adhered to

  • Reception duties

  • Assist the Security Manager/Deputy Manager where applicable

  • Any other activities reasonably required for the day-to-day operation of the company
