Collateral Management Product Team develops and executes business strategy and value added collateral solutions to buyside clients who engage in bilaterally and centrally cleared derivatives, bilateral repos and securities financing activities across the globe. As the trading behaviors and demand for collateral optimization from buyside clients become more sophisticated, the needs for innovative collateral solutions, for example, using digital assets and blockchain technology, continue to grow.
Job Summary:
As a Product Manager, you are the owner of the business to drive business growth, develop collateral solutions and influence your stakeholders to ensure the delivery of exceptional client service and operational excellence. The Global Collateral Management Product Team is located across Hong Kong, London and New York. This Product Manager role will be based in London reporting to a Product Manager based in Hong Kong. You will work closely with stakeholders across Asia, Europe and Americas on APAC and global product initiatives.
Job responsibilities:

  • Execute product strategy with expert understanding of client requirements and market dynamic
  • Drive and govern APAC product/change initiatives that require close engagement with stakeholders that are based in London or New York and initiatives that have all-encompassing impacts across all three regions (e.g. global projects, billing, expense management)
  • Legal and Fee Negotiation and Product Due Diligence
  • Evolving Regulatory landscape and potential impact to Business Strategy
  • Understand the P&L including planning, forecasting, and reporting as well product commercial like pricing and expense management
  • Manage daily escalations and provide guidance and day to day decision making to functional partners
  • Apply product expertise in the development and roll-out of collateral solutions
  • Provide client facing teams with technical support including marketing information related to new and existing product functionalities
  • Provide Product Thought Leadership through internal material and market publication
  • Align decision making to defined strategy and evaluate impact and opportunities to 3-year rolling growth plan
  • Define and publish Operating Guidelines and standard framework to deliver the Product to clients


Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:

  • Experience in working effectively in a change environment and passionate about creating practical solutions to new challenges
  • Highly structured and methodically in execution; demonstrate a keen eye on identifying and resolving risks, as well as strong project governance and control
  • Ability to organize, communicate, and influence a range of audiences; expectation to display exceptional logical writing and verbal communication skills, including ability to convey complex ideas simply
  • Focus on superior strategic/break-through thinking and problem solving abilities as it relates to the business and the delivery of the new product offering
  • Ability to gain access to individuals within a wide range of functions in the organization; earn a reputation for integrity, intelligence and problem solving
  • Experience in Financial Services particularly Securities Servicing Industry
  • Prior role in Collateral Management; Securities Clearing; Derivatives Clearing; Securities Financing/Lending
  • Knowledge of the Securities Financing market as well as Derivatives Margining


Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills:

  • Client Facing or Product Management experience would be beneficial
