The Senior Functional Consultant supports the delivery of SAP and Vistex-based solutions for clients by taking ownership of complex functional designs, guiding configuration, and ensuring quality implementation. This role entails process mapping, workshop facilitation, cross-functional coordination, and mentoring junior consultants, with a focus on delivering customer value and aligning solutions with business needs.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the implementation of SAP add-on technologies (solution extensions) across various international regions.
- Provide both remote and on-site consulting services to Vistex customers, supporting them throughout the implementation lifecycle.
- Conduct and lead blueprint workshops, document business requirements, and prepare detailed blueprints.
- Design, configure, and test SAP solutions according to customer specifications.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive project documentation including functional specifications and FRICEW objects.
- Execute integration and user acceptance testing, and support defect resolution.
- Oversee post-go-live support including critical care and knowledge transfer.
- Provide guidance on best practices and act as a trusted advisor to customers.
- Collaborate with offshore and cross-functional teams to ensure successful project delivery.
- Lead and mentor junior consultants and support staff.
- Analyze upstream and downstream impacts across master data, sales, and finance processes.
- Manage escalations and clarify design issues to ensure client satisfaction and project alignment.
- Coordinate with technical teams to build interfaces and upload data templates.
- Perform quality assurance and system validation checks.
- Conduct training sessions and prepare system demos for customers.
- Stay current with Vistex product developments and gain deep functional expertise.
- Assist in pre-sales activities and provide subject matter expertise for demos.
- Participate in industry template development and project implementation planning.

Qualifications Education Required Bachelors or better. Experience Required 5 to 8 years of hands-on SAP SD configuration experience; experience in MM and integration with FI preferred. Proven experience in at least 3 full lifecycle SAP implementations. Strong business process knowledge in domains such as Pharma, Retail, and Manufacturing. Proficient in SD pricing, OTC processes, and configuration. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Demonstrated ability to manage project deadlines and priorities. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong client handling and stakeholder engagement capabilities. Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Visio. Ability to learn new software and adapt to evolving business processes. Strong cross-module integration understanding Bachelor’s degree required Experience mentoring team members and leading configuration tasks. Willingness to travel and adapt to fast-paced project environments Preferred Familiarity with ABAP, especially debugging and enhancement frameworks, is a plus. Multilingual capabilities are a plus. Prior experience with Vistex implementations is a plus. Knowledge of testing tools and QA practices is advantageous.Vistex London, England Office
