Sales Specialist – Training

Location: UK-based, home working | Travel: UK and occasional international travel

Ready to take ownership of a sales portfolio and build something with real commercial potential?

BioPhorum is growing, and we’re looking for a Sales Specialist – Training to help us expand our training, consulting and compliance offering across the global life sciences sector.

This is a quota-bearing, new business sales role where you’ll have the opportunity to identify new customers, build relationships with senior stakeholders and turn customer challenges into valuable training and compliance solutions.

If you’re a commercially driven B2B salesperson who enjoys hunting for opportunities, running strong discovery conversations and closing new business, we’d love to hear from you.

What will you be selling?

You’ll be responsible for driving new business across BioPhorum’s training services portfolio, including:

  • Training packages and tailored training solutions
  • Consulting and auditing services linked to Compliance Hub
  • Cross-selling opportunities within existing BioPhorum customers
  • Solutions designed around customer capability, compliance and operational needs

You'll work closely with our Commercial, Marketing and Training teams, as well as internal subject matter experts, to understand customer challenges and create solutions that deliver genuine value.

What will you be doing?

You’ll own your sales pipeline from prospecting through to close, including:

  • Identifying and engaging new-logo prospects across target organisations
  • Building and managing a high-quality sales pipeline
  • Running structured discovery conversations with customers
  • Developing proposals, pitches and commercial recommendations
  • Managing opportunities through the sales cycle and closing new business
  • Identifying cross-sell opportunities within existing accounts
  • Developing opportunities for Compliance Hub consulting and auditing services
  • Working with Marketing to convert campaigns and targeted outreach into opportunities
  • Maintaining excellent CRM discipline, forecasting and opportunity management
  • Building strong relationships with senior stakeholders across training, quality, compliance, operations, regulatory and commercial functions

What are we looking for?

We’re looking for someone with approximately 3–5 years’ experience in quota-bearing B2B sales, business development or new business sales.

You’ll ideally bring experience selling training, consulting, compliance, auditing, professional services, SaaS, data or another solution-led B2B proposition, preferably within pharmaceuticals, life sciences or another regulated environment.

Most importantly, you’ll be:

  • A confident hunter who enjoys creating opportunities rather than waiting for leads
  • Commercially driven and motivated by achieving sales targets
  • Strong at prospecting, discovery and relationship building
  • Comfortable selling to multiple stakeholders and navigating complex buying processes
  • Confident presenting solutions and articulating commercial value
  • Disciplined in pipeline management, CRM and forecasting
  • Curious about your customers and able to turn their challenges into practical solutions
  • Resilient, proactive and comfortable working in a growing organisation where things continue to evolve

You don't need to know everything about BioPhorum or our training portfolio from day one. What matters is your ability to sell complex B2B solutions, build credibility quickly and create genuine customer value.

Why BioPhorum?

BioPhorum is a unique environment where some of the world's leading life science organisations come together to collaborate, share knowledge and accelerate progress across the sector.

Since 2004, we've built a community of 150+ organisations, including 18 of the 20 largest global (bio)pharma companies.

Alongside our core Phorum business, we're expanding into areas including Implementation Services, GxP training and Data products, creating significant opportunities for commercial growth.

This role gives you the chance to join at an exciting point in that journey — with the opportunity to build pipeline, win new customers and directly contribute to our growth strategy.

If you're an ambitious B2B sales professional looking for your next opportunity to make an impact in the life sciences sector, we'd love to hear from you.

UK home-based role with travel to customer meetings, training activity and BioPhorum events, including occasional international travel.
