Job Title: Sales Manager UK & Ireland
 

Job Description: 
 

The Sales Manager will be a customer facing role, responsible for winning business within the end user and projects space within the UK & Ireland.

They will develop a customer interface roadmap with a short, medium, and long-term perspective but also with the intensity of turning leads into actual orders. This is a unique role to contribute to real opportunities, with real solutions and real equipment. 
 

As the Sales Manager, you will be reporting to the UK, Ireland and Benelux Area Sales Leader, and will be responsible for: 

  • Targeting end users within North UK region to achieve growth in installed base.
  • Positioning the Baker Hughes Valves business as a critical valve partner for Projects. 
  • Leading key account (End Users, EPCs, OEMs, Licensors) engagement and strategy. 
  • Leading key Energy Transition account mapping (EPCs, OEMs, Licensors). 
  • Managing and developing a solid pipeline of end user and project opportunities. 
  • Executing on assigned sales targets and driving sales growth. 
  • Providing regional market intelligence, competitive intelligence, and customer intelligence within the designated area. 
  • Reporting on all regional activities related to market awareness and new project updates. 
  • Negotiating contracts in collaboration with the commercial operations and risk management teams, and proactively leading negotiations on the most significant aspects of the assigned opportunities. 
  • Demonstrating commercial and technical expertise in the valves market and maintaining knowledge of the market trends and product needs. 
     

Fuel your passion
 

To be successful in this role you will: 

  • Have a degree in an engineering discipline or similar, with work experience in the Energy Sector and/or in Refining & Petrochemical and O&G. 
  • Have excellent technical knowledge of control valves and/or safety relief valves, across all industry sectors. 
  • Have solid sales and account management experience (Valves Sales)
  • Have excellent interpersonal and presentation skills. 
  • Be able to communicate at all levels within the organization and effectively influence others without authority. 
  • Have the ability to coordinate and negotiate across several projects 
    simultaneously with varying complexity. 
  • Have excellent written and verbal communication skills and be fluent in English.
