As a Sales Engineer at Dataminr, you will be one of the most important members of a rapidly growing team, serving as a trusted advisor to Account Executives, Product teams, as well as our current and future customers across Europe. A security-focused technical liaison and subject matter expert on all things Dataminr, you will get to develop and share compelling stories that will excite your customers and have them eager to hear more.
This role can be fully remote, based in the UK, with up to 40% travel and requires Italian native-speaking or fluent working proficiency. Additional proficiency in Spanish is desired but not required. German or French abilities are considered as positive factors. Ability to hold NATO Secret clearance is a requirement for this position.

The Opportunity 

  • Technical Demonstrations: Conduct in-depth product demonstrations showcasing how our solutions leverage public data to enhance detection, response, and mitigation efforts.

  • Solution Design: Collaborate with clients to assess their real-time information needs and design solutions within Dataminr platforms to meet those needs

  • Proof of Concept: Work closely with customers to establish and meet success criteria for focused product evaluations. 

  • Customer Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, ensuring they recognize the value of our solutions and integration capabilities.

  • Partnering: Consult and cooperate with partners to prove the value of integration of Dataminr alerting into third party systems (e.g. Esri ArcGIS, custom client built systems, and numerous SEIM, SOAR, and TIP platforms)

  • Training & Enablement: Provide training sessions for sales staff and clients, focusing on best practices, operational workflows, and maximizing the use of and integration with various platforms

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with the product team to relay customer feedback, identify feature gaps, and contribute to the development of new functionalities that enhance integration and user experience.

What you Bring

  • Italian native-speaking or fluent working proficiency required. Additional proficiency in Spanish is desired but not required. German or French abilities are considered as positive factors.

  • 3-7+ years of hands-on technical experience, either as a Solutions/Sales/Systems Engineer, Technical Account Manager, Software Sales Architect or client side industry experience  preferably with Public Sector clients/organizations. 

  • Experience working directly within Public Sector organizations is highly desired.

  • History of assessing and developing pre-sales strategies and relationships, including managing expectations, deliverables, and complex systems as well as the teams that support them

  • Experience creating and delivering technical presentations, workshops, or technical validation engagements, preferably for SaaS platforms. 

  • Experience in data integration implementation and integrating solutions with third-party products
