The Team:

Our successful Pharma & Chemicals Sales team is responsible for selling into the largest Enterprise accounts of the German and Austrian Pharmaceutical and Chemical industries  (DAX companies, global players, 5bn+ revenue). The team is focused on existing customers and is responsible to sustain and grow customer relationships in that region and segment, positioning Celonis as their strategic transformation partner.

The Role:

The Sales Director will lead and manage this team of 6 Strategic Account Executives with the objective to continue their track record of success. The individual will be required to effectively collaborate with internal stakeholders spanning direct and indirect sales as well as senior leaders in value engineering, business development and services functions. 

The Work you’ll do:

  • Hire, manage and develop strong sales talent, drive individual AE success and foster a great team spirit
  • Own and hit/exceed annual sales targets within your assigned territory with great control and forecast accuracy
  • Develop and execute a strategic plan to achieve sales targets and expand our customer base in the assigned segment/industry
  • Build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer and partner relationships for strong executive alignment and proactive account management
  • Support and coach your team to partner with customers to understand their business needs and objectives to drive incremental revenue growth
  • Effectively communicate the Celonis industry-specific value proposition through proposals and presentations and enable your team to do the same with high quality and deep domain knowledge

The Qualifications you need:

  • Demonstrate exceptional leadership qualities and a proven track record of successfully managing a team 
  • Highly ambitious and competitive mindset, with deep expertise in leading direct sales teams and consistently achieving targets.
  • Strong personal background in sales, demonstrating success as an individual contributor
  • Experience in building and maintaining relationships at the C-suite level, preferably with an established network in the Pharma and/or Chemical industries
  • Manage Ability to manage complex, long sales cycles involving multiple stakeholders
  • Experience working in both direct and matrix organizational structures
  • Demonstrated success in collaborating with Partners, including consulting firms and enterprise technology providers
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills in both German (fluent) and English
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work autonomously, effectively managing time and priorities to achieve objectives
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic, and high-growth environment, approaching challenges with adaptability, creativity, and a growth mindset.
