Job Profile

Euronext FX is an Electronic Communication Network for foreign exchange trading. Its award-winning technology (FastMatch) gives Euronext FX an important speed and flexibility advantage and has the capability of handling thousands of clients simultaneously. Clients include retail brokers, institutions, banks, hedge funds, and proprietary trading firms. Euronext FX is a company of Euronext, the leading pan-European exchange in the Eurozone. The Sales Director will drive the expansion of Euronext FX in the EMEA/APAC/US Region. The candidate will enhance and develop relationships with existing clients as well as acquire new clients and prospects.

Key Accountabilities

  • Identify, qualify, negotiate, close and onboard new clients across all target segments.
  • Generate revenue through trading volumes, commissions and the sale of market data products.
  • Maintain a proactive approach to client coverage by increasing touchpoints across products, execution styles, portfolio managers and trading desks.
  • Collaborate with sales and cross-functional teams globally to deliver a high standard of service to clients, including Sales, Liquidity Management, Support and Quant teams.
  • Work closely with the Liquidity Management team on a daily basis to deepen client relationships and increase volumes through tailored execution solutions.
  • Stay informed on market developments, industry best practices and competitive trends in electronic FX trading.
  • Engage with clients proactively and regularly to maximise revenue opportunities and trading activity.
  • Assess client needs, identify revenue potential and align solutions to commercial opportunities.
  • Provide client and market feedback to the product team to help shape future functionality and features.
  • Analyse prospective clients, track sales activity and manage client communications using the firm’s CRM tools.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

  • 7-10 years’ experience in eFX sales.
  • Strong understanding of the eFX market, including its evolution, key participants and current trends.
  • Solid grasp of core eFX concepts such as spreads, decay, cost of execution, last look and round-trip times.
  • Previous experience at an FX platform or trading venue is preferred.
  • Knowledge of digital assets an advantage.
  • Established client relationships are advantageous, particularly on the buy-side.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant discipline such as Economics, Business or Finance, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Ability to perform effectively under time constraints, demonstrating drive, initiative and enthusiasm.
  • Excellent client-facing and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively across all levels of a client organisation.
  • Strong presentation skills, with the ability to deliver clear, consistent and compelling messages to clients.
  • Self-motivated team player with strong collaboration skills.
  • Creative and solutions-oriented mindset to address diverse client needs.
  • Technology literate, particularly in relation to electronic FX trading environments and workflows.
  • Strong quantitative skills, with the ability to analyse, interpret and communicate data related to client and participant trading behaviour.
  • Working knowledge of AI tools and digital technologies to improve productivity, client insight and sales effectiveness.
