monday.com is the AI work platform powering the most ambitious teams. 250,000+ customers across departments use us to bring people, workflows, and AI agents together on one flexible platform where AI doesn't just assist, it executes. We move fast, build things that matter, and foster an ownership-driven culture where you're empowered to shape how organizations work and outpace their competition.

Benelux is one of monday.com’s most promising growth regions, and we’re hiring our first two founding Sales Development Reps on the ground in Amsterdam. You'll shape how we prospect, build the playbook that future hires will learn from, and set the standard for the team as it grows across the BeNeLux region.

If you want real ownership, high visibility across the company, and a clear path to AE as the team scales, this is the role for you.

Location: Amsterdam, hybrid. Remote at the start, then 3 days a week in our Amsterdam office once it opens (planned H1 2027).

Two roles, one founding team

  • SDR – New Business: You'll go after net-new logos, open doors at companies that don’t know monday.com yet and build pipeline from scratch.

  • BDR – Existing Business: You'll grow our current customers by mapping accounts, reaching new departments and decision-makers, and uncovering expansion opportunities

Tell us which track excites you most. We’ll explore fit together during the process.

About the role:

  • Open doors. Prospect in a data-driven way to build pipeline across net-new and existing accounts, and help establish monday.com's brand across the Benelux.

  • Multithread and expand. Map existing customer accounts, find teams and stakeholders who could get value from monday.com, and start conversations that turn into expansion opportunities.

  • Take extreme ownership. As a founding team member, spot what isn't working and fix it. Use our tools to prospect at speed, and help shape the processes and playbook for the team that comes after you.

  • Qualify. Run deep-dive discovery calls to understand prospect needs, challenges and budget. Find buying signals and pain points to decide whether we're a fit.

  • Prepare meetings. Write detailed call reports and qualification summaries for AEs, including key contacts, company background and potential deal size.

  • Manage the CRM. Keep the CRM accurate and up to date with prospect data, call notes and meeting outcomes.

  • Report and analyse. Track your activity and performance metrics, find areas to improve, and share market insights with leadership.

  • Keep learning. Stay current on industry trends, competitors and monday.com's products so you can engage and qualify prospects well.

Requirements:

  • 1+ years in outbound sales, lead generation or a similar target-driven role (we’re open to strong early in career candidates who can show the drive)

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and hold meaningful conversations with prospects

  • Excellent time management and organisation, and good at juggling and prioritising

  • Comfortable with CRM software and data analysis tools (Salesforce preferred)

  • A passion for learning and a continuous improvement mindset

  • A competitive, self-starting mindset with a drive to beat quota and win goals

  • A builder's mindset: you're energised by ambiguity and excited to help shape a new team

  • The ability to understand monday.com's solutions and connect them directly to customer ROI

  • Experience coordinating cross-functional support to help customers get the most from monday.com

  • A proven ability to identify and overcome sales objections

  • Fluent English and fluent Dutch (C1 or above)

Nice to have

  • French or an additional Benelux language is a strong plus

  • Experience selling into the Benelux market, or a good understanding of the local business culture

  • Experience with account-based or expansion selling

What monday.com can offer you:

  • Competitive comp, benefits and perks

  • Career path, such as promotion to AE as the region scales

  • Join a customer-obsessed team where transparency and ownership are how we actually operate - not just things we put on a wall

  • Work on a multi-product suite powered by advanced AI, where what you ship reaches hundreds of thousands of customers worldwide

  • Competitive salary, benefits, bonus potential, and equity eligibility for many roles — we believe people should share in our success

  • Grow fast through a dedicated L&D team, AI workshops, bootcamps, and internal hackathons - the industry moves quick and so do we

  • A collaborative, global culture backed by Employee Resource Groups and workplace teams across New York, Tel Aviv, London, Munich, Warsaw, Tokyo, Sydney, and more
