Sales Consultant – Legal Services 
£26,500 - £30,000 base salary, OTE £45,000 plus excellent benefits (Work Level 6B)  
Monday-Friday, 37.5 hours flexible between 9am and 9pm, with 3 evenings per week, and two in four Saturdays. 
Home based across England and Wales, travelling when required

For this role you’ll be required to start on 9th November 2026


We’re looking for people with great customer service and communication skills to join us as Sales Consultants at Co-op Life Services. Working in our Estate Planning team, you’ll help clients plan for the future and look after the people who matter most to them. You don’t need a background in law to do this job, as we’ll provide full training and ongoing development.

What you’ll do

  • Attend video or phone-based appointments to discuss the benefits of later life legal services with clients
  • Work closely with clients to identify their different needs, providing information and solutions to best meet their requirements
  • Explain legal issues to clients in an understandable way, without legal jargon
  • Guide clients through their options, helping them make informed decisions on funeral plans in line with FCA regulations
  • Develop positive relationships with Co-op colleagues, working together to provide the best possible client journey
  • Perform to agreed targets to deliver outstanding client outcomes and commercial success
  • Travel for face-to-face client or company meetings when required  

What you’ll bring

  • Previous experience of B2B or B2C consultative sales and supporting customers to make decisions
  • A full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle
  • Confidence, empathy and understanding when speaking with potential clients
  • Active listening skills with the ability to adapt your communication style and engage a diverse range of clients through telephone, video, and face to face discussions
  • The ability to consult and influence while showing enthusiasm for our products and services
  • Excellent literacy and numeracy skills, with a high level of attention to detail and a commitment to delivering accurate work
  • The ability to achieve key targets and work towards deadlines  
  • Good general IT skills, with the ability to quickly learn and adapt to new systems
