As a Sales Assistant based in our Garforth branch you’ll be responsible for:  

  • Serving customers on the trade counter by understanding their specific needs and providing advice and product recommendations

  • Responding to customer enquiries via phone & email promptly and courteously, with a proactive attitude

  • Making outbound phone calls to previous customers to regain their business

  • Actively identifying and pursuing opportunities to drive sales within the branch, engaging both new and existing customers

  • General warehouse duties including booking incoming stock onto the system and putting it away and picking and packing customer orders which will involve manual handling heavy stock e.g. boilers, radiators, sinks and toilets

  • Driving a 3.5T van on occasion to make deliveries to local customers

This is a full time time permanent role working 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday 07.30am - 4.30pm and Saturday mornings on a rota basis 08.00am - 12.00pm.

And here’s what we’d like you to have:

  • A Driving Licence would be beneficial

  • Plumbing & Heating knowledge is ideal

  • Previous Face to Face sales and customer service experience

  • Warehouse experience

  • The ability to deliver outstanding customer service

  • To be a team player who is happy to assist in all areas to ensure the smooth running of the branch

  • Eagerness to learn, with a positive and enthusiastic attitude and a strong work ethic

  • To be comfortable lifting heavy items
