Sales Advisor Apprentice – Jewson Partnership Solutions

Based in Newcastle-under-Lyme Mon to Fri (7.30am to 4.30pm)

We're looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Sales Adviser Apprentice to join our team and develop a successful career within one of the UK's leading builders' merchants.

Jewson Partnership Solutions (JPS) is a brand within Stark UK which specialises in providing solutions for our customers in the Public Sector predominately Housing Associations and Local Authorities.

We operate numerous supply solutions across the UK where certain contracts incorporate a dedicated distribution store and a solution to provide van stocks and a wide range of building maintenance materials including plumbing, electrical and ironmongery.

Our JPS contracts are buoyant and busy outlets solely focused on our contract with the local council or housing association.

This is a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience, earn while you learn, and achieve a nationally recognised qualification whilst working in a fast-paced trade environment.

What You'll Be Doing

As a Sales Adviser Apprentice, you'll work alongside experienced colleagues and learn all aspects of the branch operation, including:

  • Providing excellent customer service to customers

  • Assisting with product selection and enquiries

  • Developing product knowledge across building materials and construction supplies

  • Processing sales orders and quotations and all aspects of administration

  • Supporting stock management and merchandising activities

  • Building positive relationships with our customer and suppliers

  • Learning how to identify sales opportunities and maximise branch performance

  • Understanding health and safety procedures within the branch

  • Working towards achieving your apprenticeship qualification

What We're Looking For Someone Who

  • Has a positive attitude and eagerness to learn

  • Enjoys communicating with customers, colleagues and building relationships

  • Has good organisational and teamwork skills

  • Is confident using computers and learning new systems

  • Demonstrates reliability, enthusiasm, and a strong work ethic

  • Has qualifications i.e. GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths or A Levels or is willing to work towards achieving them if required.

  • The role may also be of interest to a college leaver who is looking to gain experience in the workplace.

No previous experience is necessary. We value potential, attitude, and a willingness to develop.
