Join us at JPMorgan & Chase Co. at our newest European hub for Chase bank, located in Germany. In this exciting chapter of continued growth and expansion for Chase, we're looking for a passionate Risk Governance & Documentation - Senior Associate / Vice President.
As a Risk Governance & Documentation - Senior Associate / Vice President in our International Consumer Banking (ICB) Risk Team, you will work on the coordination and delivery of governance, documentation and regulatory change requirements. You will also play a critical role in enhancing our risk governance framework, ensuring that risks are effectively identified, assessed, managed, and reported across the organisation.
Job responsibilities
  • Act as the lead for EU-specific risk governance and support local regulatory requirements and submissions for Risk as needed, in collaborate on with Risk colleagues and senior stakeholders.
  • Support the broader Risk Governance Centre of Excellence as secretariat for Risk Committees and Forums.
  • Coordinate the review, drafting, amending and publication of Risk policies, standards, manuals and procedures in accordance with local requirements and the firm's governance standards, and provide guidance to Risk colleagues where necessary.
  • Lead the review of Risk legal obligations specific to Risk, working with stakeholders in Risk to identify the correct mapping to policies, procedures and processes (or any other actions), as appropriate.
  • Support ad-hoc governance and documentation projects, including participation in working groups covering EU expansion.
  • Foster a culture of risk awareness and promote best practices in risk management across the Risk organization.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
  • Bachelor's degree or background in Finance, Business Administration, Risk Management, or a related field.
  • Experience with EU banking regulations and industry standards related to risk management, as well as experience with risk governance within the financial services industry.
  • General knowledge of Retail Deposits and/or Consumer Credit;
  • Excellent written and oral communication with experience in acting as secretariat for Committees.
  • Strong interpersonal and influencing skills, with the ability to establish credibility and long-term partnership with colleagues and senior stakeholders
  • Excellent organizational skills with ability to prioritise and manage multiple initiatives in a dynamic and high-pressure environment
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently but escalate matters as appropriate; Good team player focused on common goals and the team's objectives
  • Strong analytical skills and problem solving with the ability to exercise sound and balanced judgement. Attention to detail with a methodical and thorough approach to assigned work
