What you’ll do

As a member of the Global Accounting team, the Revenue Accounting Analyst is a key member in ensuring high quality and timely global consolidated financial statement reporting and supports the organization in revenue recognition and the order to cash value stream.

The Revenue Accounting Analyst is a full-time role located in the UK and reports to the EMEA Controller and the Revenue Accounting - Engagement Administration Manager. Paid relocation is not available for this position.

  • Assist in ensuring that revenue can be appropriately recognized, and invoices can be accurately generated through the following activities:
    • Setup client engagements in the accounting system
    • Review client engagement letters and budgets to ensure proper setup in the accounting system
    • Review tax compliance, flag potential issues to the tax department
    • Review for Know Your Client (KYC) compliance when applicable, flag potential issues to the compliance team
    • Monitor legal contracts system for signed engagement letters
    • Review bank statements for different banks with multiple accounts
    • Process and reconcile accounts receivable and remittances
    • Work with accounting team colleagues to address payment issues or other discrepancies
  • Act as a business partner to finance and the engagement teams to assist in monitoring engagement performance:
    • Communicate requirements related to engagement setup in the accounting system (KYC compliance, lead accuracy, tax compliance)
    • Educate the engagement team regarding information necessary to ensure proper engagement setup within the accounting system. Address any inquiries related to accounts receivable
    • Proactively communicate any potential issues/delays and to help resolve them

What you’ll need

  • A bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance/business/economics or related field is preferred.
  • Fluent in English and German, both written and spoken.  Proficiency in other languages a plus.
  • Minimum one (1) year of professional experience preferred.
  • Self-motivated. Initiates activities with high degree of drive, passion, and commitment to continuous improvement.
  • Customer service mindset with effective written and verbal communication skills in English, German, and the ability to interact with stakeholders at all levels.
  • High attention to detail and effective organizational skills with the ability to prioritize responsibilities to effectively meet strict deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate with a team, often under time constraints.
  • Proficient with MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook; able to learn new systems and tools.
  • Willingness to work outside of normal German business hours, and as unique projects/needs arise.
