Manage Business Requirements & Strategy

  • Partner with CRMX and HVC teams to gather, understand, and challenge business requirements related to customer retention, lifecycle marketing, and engagement and manage the relationship with the incumbent external vendor
  • Ensure requirements are clear, measurable, and aligned to business outcomes such with main KPIs being: Retention Rates, Player Values & Active Player Days
  • Proactively identify gaps, risks, or inefficiencies in proposed use cases and recommend improvements

Provide Martech-Retention Expertise

  • Act as the subject matter expert on retention-based martech tools used in the business, but also possess an understanding of tools in the market
  • Understand the capabilities, limitations, and trade-offs of different tools and advise stakeholders on what is realistically achievable
  • Translate business use cases into scalable martech solutions, ensuring alignment with architecture and data constraints

Data Translation & Ownership

  • Translate business requirements and use cases into clear data requirement which are well documented (e.g. schemas, event tracking, segmentation logic, attributes)
  • Own documentation of data requirements and ensure clarity and completeness for technical teams

Co-ordination with Data Engineering

  • Act as the primary point of contact for external data engineering teams for Retention-based requirements
  • Clearly communicate requirements, priorities, and expected deliverables and manage progress with data engineers
  • Hold external teams accountable to agreed timelines, scope, and quality standards

Delivery & Execution

  • Own the end-to-end delivery of retention-focused initiatives from proposal through to implementation
  • Validate delivered data and solutions meet business needs and are fit for purpose and provide measurable reporting to be able to quantify the value of use case/ required data to the bottom line
  • Prioritise backlog based on business impact, feasibility, and dependencies and continuously review and manage priorities with the data engineering team

Success Measures

To be demonstrated as direct result from the use of the marketing technology stack:

  • Uplift in main business KPIs (Retention Rates, Player Values & Active Player Days) as a result from data activation
  • Maintain regulatory and compliance KPIs for incumbent solution (0% contact with self-excluded customers amongst others)
  • Delivery of (new) high-quality, reliable data pipelines and unlocking of martech capabilities
  • Clear, actionable, and scalable data foundations for future CRM use cases
  • Strong alignment between business expectations and delivered solutions

What You’ll Bring

You’re someone who brings:

  • Effective communication skills, speaking with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Strong understanding of customer lifecycle, retention strategies, and CRM/loyalty programs
  • Hands-on experience using retention-focused martech platforms with a strong understanding of data flows, event tracking, segmentation, and personalisation
  • An ability to interpret technical constraints and translate them into business-friendly explanations
  • Strong ownership mindset with the ability to drive delivery and hold teams accountable
  • Skills in backlog management, prioritisation, and agile delivery practices
  • Confidence in challenging assumptions and influencing decision-making

As this is a senior and critical role in ensuring data is correctly activated, we are looking for candidates who can demonstrate they are:

  • Can work with minimal supervision and management

Desirable Skills You’ve Got Up Your Sleeve

It would be great if you also have some the following skills:

  • In-depth knowledge of sports betting markets, including odds calculation, betting types and market trends
  • Previous experience in the online gaming or casino industry, with a strong understanding of player behaviour and industry regulations or experience in high-growth, digital, or subscription-based businesses.
  • Familiarity with analytics platforms and experimentation (A/B testing, cohort analysis)
