As a Research & Innovation Engineer, you will be responsible for developing Proof of Concepts (PoC) and testbeds of candidate technologies for 6G advanced wireless, network digital twin, 6G wireless and beyond.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Develop algorithms for implementing new features on 5G-advanced, network digital twin, and 6G testbeds, simulation and evaluation of new features prior to the PoC’s development.

  • Rapid prototyping of new concepts on x86 CPU and GPU based servers using USRPs and in-house RF boards for collaboration and evaluation with customers. Development of GUI’s for PoC’s.

  • Work with external partners to understand the state-of-the-art technologies of 5G-advanced, network digital twin, and 6G.

  • Work with Engineering to transition PoC’s to mainstream products.

Pre-Requisites / Skills / Experience Requirements:

  • Master’s degree or higher in Communication/Telecommunication or Wireless Communication Engineering. A PhD is desirable.

  • Extensive experience in algorithm or software development.

  • 3GPP RAN1 or RAN2, Protocol stack knowledge and experience is desirable.

  • Good knowledge of channel modelling, particularly with a focus on ray-tracing techniques, is desirable.

  • Good knowledge of AI/ML techniques for 5G-advanced, network digital twin, and 6G technologies is desirable.

  • Experience with one or more of the following is essential: Python, PyTorch, MATLAB, CUDA C++, and containers (Docker, Podman).

  • Strong collaboration and team working skills, including cross-functionally, with the ability to establish and maintain effective relationships across all levels.

  • Ability to influence senior stakeholders.

  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

  • The ability to work within multiple and/or complex projects simultaneously in a deadline-driven environment.

  • Ability to mentor and coach the same or junior levels.

  • Ability to solve complex issues using in depth evaluation methods and techniques.

  • Contributes to strategic decision-making.
