JOB SUMMARY

Choice Hotels is seeking a Regional Vice President, Franchise Sales Development for its Extended Stay team. This role focuses on converting existing hotels to the MainStay Suites® and Suburban Extended Stay Hotel® brands within Mid-West region of the United Staes such as; Indiana, Illinois, Missouri, Kansas, Iowa, Nebraska, Wisconsin, Minnesota, North Dokota, and South Dakota.  The position involves strategic business planning, relationship development, and execution of franchise sales goals. The role is remote-based with significant travel required.

RESPONSIBILITIES

•    Develop and execute the Market Area Strategic Business Plan.
•    Build a pipeline of prospective franchisees to meet conversion and new construction goals.
•    Manage internal relations and contract/approval processes.
•    Assist franchisees with financial programs and site selection.
•    Collaborate with Franchise Services and brand leaders to ensure brand compliance and deal quality.
•    Conduct competitive and SWOT analyses and adjust strategies accordingly.
•    Build industry relationships and represent Choice Hotels at events and trade shows.

QUALIFICATIONS

Experience and Education

  • 3-5 years of successful hospitality franchise sales or hotel development experience preferred. Alternatively, significant business-to-business sales experience with complex, high-value transactions.

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or related field preferred. Equivalent experience accepted.

Technical Skills

  • Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel). CRM application experience preferred.

  • Strong negotiation and influencing skills.

  • Excellent communication and presentation abilities.

  • Strong analytical and interpersonal skills.

  • Broad business acumen and collaboration across organizational lines.

  • Knowledge of hotel industry and competitive brands.

SALARY RANGE

Earnings potential for this role is up to or above $200,000 - $300,000 in total cash compensation. This includes both sales commission and annual base salary for the role. Sales commissions are variable based on performance.

Field/Remote — Select roles designated as field/remote will require associates to work from a home office, connecting virtually with Choice team members and leadership on Zoom, with possible required travel depending on the role.
