The Regional Sales Manager drives regional store by store sell out to achieve Sony UK BGT and high quality SLC-T (Selection / Location / Condition / Training) level in line with European GENBA KPI.

This role is pivotal in driving results through your field team. Reporting to the Sales and Retail Activation Manager, success in this role hinges on your ability to lead and empower a sales management team, digest data, drive shop front execution and sales while managing key internal and external customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Leading/managing/developing staff/sales team in such a way that Sony is our customers' preferred supplier and Sony is best in class on sales talent development:

  • Taking standards/values into consideration.

  • With balance of value for the customer and value for Sony.

  • Improving team quality through people development.

  • Timely performance reviews (1 to 1 meetings with team members)

  • Implementing and aligning with the Sony Way of Selling and sales management

  • Effectively handling a multi-channel retail environment and driving growth.

  • Field sales team management from.
     

Business planning

  • Developing and implementing the regional strategy, aligned with SUKs corporate objectives.

  • Market strategy planning: using team members as effectively and efficiently as possible.

  • Articulating business objectives to the regional team of Area Sales Managers and Sales Promoters.
     

Sales activities

  • Optimising the frequency of customer contact (face-to-face and by telephone), and to this end ensuring that the monthly plans are recorded and evaluated, in line with the contact targets.

  • Monitoring frequency of communication and recording (following up on use of contact management tool)

  • Visiting the branches as well as head offices.
     

Sales monitoring

  • Building business relationships with channel partners.

  • Model by Model sell out strategies.

  • Maintaining, developing and improving the in-house shares and market shares.

  • Monitoring and working with accounts team to maintain stock in branch.

  • Ensuring speedy activation of product ranging

You will bring:

  • Significant experience in a sales management role

  • Validated experience in people management

  • Experience in multi-channel retailing and knowledge of e-commerce marketing/sales

  • MS Office

  • Command of English

  • Leadership and interpersonal skills

  • Has an open approach towards, embraces and continuously initiates and implements change.

  • Result-oriented mentality and consistent track record in delivering business results.

  • Strong people leader who motivates employees and develops next generation of leaders.
