We are cross-functional and together drive an emerging business unit within eBay. We are seeking a Regional EH&S Manager out of our Ruislip UK site to lead the EMEA EH&S operations.

You will be joining the growing Authentication health and safety team with the opportunity to influence a fast-growing business within eBay significantly. The Regional EH&S Manager holds responsibility for leading and advising all elements of the EMEA health and safety program in an active warehouse/office environment. This role ensures adherence to regulations and company standards while encouraging a strong, proactive safety culture. Success depends on close collaboration with cross-functional groups to weave safety into daily operations and initiatives. This person will lead by example, engage employees at every level, and continually refine systems to lower risk. This leader brings experience in EH&S for distribution and can clearly express, develop, and support a risk-focused, prevention program. Reporting to the Global EH&S manager, this individual will support EMEA locations through program implementation, risk assessments, and proactive risk management.

What You Will Accomplish

  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure adherence to all relevant UK, German, and EU EH&S regulations (e.g., HSE, BMAS, UBA), maintaining robust compliance programs, audits, and reporting to governing bodies.
  • Risk Management: Lead regular risk assessments and site inspections, driving identification, mitigation, and resolution of hazards through structured corrective actions.

  • Performance & Strategy: Track and analyze EH&S performance metrics, supporting strategic goals and continuous improvement across regional operations.

  • Cross-Functional Partnership: Collaborate with Operations, Facilities, Security, and Global EH&S teams to align safety initiatives with business priorities.

  • Incident Management: Coordinate investigation and response to incidents and near misses, ensuring root cause analysis and implementation of effective preventive measures across facilities.

  • Leadership & Culture: Advocate for a proactive safety culture through open communication, education, and participation throughout all tiers of the organization.

  • Continuous Improvement: Apply data and PDCA principles to develop robust safety management systems, standardize procedures, and optimize performance.

  • Management of Change: Maintain involvement in operational planning and lead EH&S implications of changes, ensuring risks are identified and controls are implemented optimally.

What You Will Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Environmental Science, Occupational Health & Safety, Engineering, or a related field.

  • Minimum 5–8 years of EH&S experience in industrial, logistics, or operations environments, with regional oversight preferred.

  • Solid understanding of UK HSE, German occupational safety (Arbeitsschutz), and EU environmental regulations.

  • Certifications such as NEBOSH, IOSH, or DGUV accreditation preferred.

  • Excellent communication skills and proven ability to influence at all organizational levels.

  • Proficiency in English and German highly desirable.
