Collaborating closely with Sales, Technology, and Product teams, we shape business outcomes and drive transformation for clients using FactSet’s proprietary platforms and global service network.

Role Overview
As a Real-Time Pre-Sales Engineer (Technical Solutions Architect), you will leverage FactSet’s real-time market data products to design and deliver innovative solutions for top-tier clients. You’ll manage the pre-sales lifecycle in partnership with Sales, Engineering, Product, and Support, engaging with both business and technology stakeholders to ensure requirements are met and FactSet’s solutions generate measurable impact.

What You'll Do

  • Serve as a client-facing expert for FactSet’s real-time market data stack, advising on enterprise-scale business needs and competitive solutions.
  • Conduct workflow and requirements analysis using FactSet’s Blueprinting methodology to identify pain points and recommend improvements in technology and processes.
  • Map current and target state architectures, preparing solution documentation, integration plans, and statements of work.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to design transformative operating models for asset management, sell-side, wealth advisory, and retail business functions.
  • Produce high-quality technical deliverables, supporting both pre- and post-sales engagements.
  • Partner closely with internal teams to advance and secure significant real-time market data opportunities.

What We're Looking For

  • 10+ years’ experience in financial services, fintech, or market data roles; minimum 5 years client-facing (sales engineering, pre-sales, consulting).
  • Deep understanding of financial workflows, market data products/vendors, and the competitive landscape.
  • Familiarity with competitor solutions (e.g., Bloomberg B-Pipe, ICE Data Services, LSEG Real-Time/RTDS), with insights into their respective value propositions is essential.
  • Strong stakeholder management and problem-solving skills; able to manage multiple projects in a dynamic environment.
  • Technical background with expertise in market data qualities of service, API integration, data models, and symbology.
  • Knowledge of reference data, global asset types, and data management services; awareness of industry metrics and commercial practices.
  • Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field preferred; business-level English required.
  • Willingness to travel.
