Quality Engineer – AI Platform Team (Hybrid)
Do you want to have the Opportunity to learn and grow on a modern AI-driven platform used across many products?
Do you want to contribute meaningfully to automated API test coverage for key platform services?
About the team
The AI Platform team builds shared AI services used across many products. Our goal is to help product teams use AI safely, reliably, and efficiently—without having to rebuild core systems themselves. We focus on reusable, secure, and well‑observed services that support teams at scale.
About the role
We are looking for a Quality Engineer to help build quality into our AI platform from the start. This is an automation‑first role focused on API and service‑level testing. You will work closely with engineers, product managers, and quality peers to ensure our services are reliable, scalable, and safe to use.
This role is well suited to someone who enjoys learning, collaborating, and growing their technical skills in a supportive team environment.
Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain automated tests for APIs and backend services (for example, using Karate or Cucumber)
- Write clear, reliable tests that give fast feedback to the team
- Test core functionality, error handling, and expected service behaviour
- Collaborate early with engineers to understand requirements and edge cases
- Support automated testing in CI/CD pipelines
- Help identify quality risks and improve test coverage
- Contribute to incident reviews by strengthening tests to prevent repeat issues
- Learn and apply modern quality engineering practices in a platform environment
Requirements:
- Experience in software testing or quality engineering (typically 2–4 years, or equivalent practical experience)
- Experience with test automation, especially for APIs or backend services
- Familiarity with tools such as Karate, Cucumber, or similar frameworks
- Basic understanding of REST APIs and data formats
- Some experience working with CI/CD pipelines
- Comfortable working in Agile teams and collaborating with others
- Interest in taking ownership and continuously improving quality
