The Quality Engineer will work closely with Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain and production whilst supporting the management and control of all aspects of the site Quality Management System (QMS). This includes ensuring compliance with departmental KPI’s, liaising with internal colleagues, customers and other outside parties in relation to Quality issues.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the development, implementation and maintenance of Quality Management System and associated standards across the business.
  • Working with the Quality Manager to achieve control, monitoring and implementation of the QMS in line with the company policies and procedures.
  • NCR management of root cause analysis and development of corrective actions for all non-conforming parts, maintaining accurate records of quality issues.
  • Supporting customer related quality issues, ensuring clear communication and prompt resolution.
  • Analysis of quality data to identify trends and areas for improvement, using statistical methods and quality tools (8D, 5-Why etc.)
  • Providing training to staff on quality standards, procedures, and best practices to foster a culture of quality.
  • Performing internal and external audits to ensure compliance with quality standards and regulatory requirements. (ISO, customer-specific and Supplier).
  • Oversee product quality across, assembly, testing, and inspection stages, promoting quality awareness and best practice throughout the organization.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop the Quality team, ensuring strong performance and succession planning.

Preferred Qualification/Experience

ISO9001 Lead Auditor

5+ years in Quality Engineering

Strong Knowledge of ISO9001:2015 QMS and related quality standards

Understanding of PED, ASME and ATEX standards.

Experience of maintain quality systems across a manufacturing/engineering business.
