You’ll be part of the Digital Design & Technology team, a small close-knit team. Your expertise will be essential to the projects we deliver and in achieving excellence for our clients. The role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement.

In your role you will have the opportunity to upskill and collaborate closely with our Technical Director to help devise testing strategies and implement new ideas. Within this role you will receive support and guidance, providing the ideal environment for professional growth.

Our work within Digital & Technology team

In today’s world, the role of digital is central to helping our clients navigate critical issues that materially affect their business. Our digital capability exists to support the wider Brunswick Group, which is organised around a Practice Group and Sector Group model with offices all around the world.

Within our digital capability we have a team of strategic advisors who help our clients understand challenging situations and make clear and confident decisions to resolve them. We also have an audience and amplification team who gather deep insight into our clients’ core audiences and how best to reach and engage them.

This role is within the Design and Technology team, which exists to support our clients with websites and digital products that help them be more successful at their critical moments. You will be a part of our award-winning, full-service, in-house team of strategy, UX, design, developers, quality assurance and project managers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Implement and manage quality assurance policies: Maintain quality assurance standards and procedures for web development projects to ensure product quality and reliability throughout all aspects of a project’s lifecycle.
  • Test execution: Test execution of web products to ensure they meet high quality standards.
  • Defect tracking and resolution: Manage defect tracking and resolution processes, ensuring issues are documented and resolved in a timely manner.
  • Knowledge sharing: Share your expertise with D&T team members, providing support to ensure everyone strives for quality.
  • Collaboration and communication are key: Work closely with stakeholders and be able to communicate risks and issues clearly and proactively.
  • Support with QA needs across the wider Brunswick community: We work closely with other teams across the business and you will at times need to help where needed with ad hoc tasks. One of the teams that will need support is the AI team.
  • Compliance: Ensure all web products comply with industry standards including a strong focus on accessibility.
  • Training and personal development: You will be expected to keep up with new technologies and trends and be able to bring back any learnings into the team. We are constantly looking to improve and make our ways of working more efficient.
  • Documentation: We have strong documentation and processes in place, you will be expected to keep any documentation up to date and have strong written communication.
  • Presentation skills: Be comfortable creating documents and presenting your work to both internal team members and external client teams, as required.
  • Automation: Work with the Technical Director to bring test automation processes into the team. Previous experience in this area would be a bonus but not a strict requirement.

Knowledge, Skills, and Competencies

  • Proven experience in website development quality assurance.
  • Some experience with automated testing tools and frameworks would be preferable.
  • Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
  • Knowledge of web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript), web development processes and how
    websites fundamentally work.
  • Familiarity with CMS systems and how content is managed.
  • Empathy of our end users and an awareness of how they will interact with our products, in order to raise the quality.
  • Proficiency in test management software and defect tracking tools. We use Confluence and Jira.
  • Understanding of accessibility and how websites need to be adapted to meet user’s needs.
  • Ideally some experience with performance testing and security testing
