Job Description

We are looking for a talented and detail-oriented QA Engineer with hands-on experience in Cypress JS to join our growing engineering team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining automated test suites to ensure the reliability and performance of our web applications.

The QA Engineer will report directly to the R&D Head of Engineering and will work closely with developers, implementation consultants, product managers, and other R&D team members to ensure the high-quality delivery of our specialised software products, according to our ISO27001 certified process, in a fast-paced Agile environment.

Responsibilities

  • Design, write, and maintain automated tests, including end-to-end tests, using our framework of choice: "Cypress".
  • Troubleshooting and resolving of issues related to test failures. Identify possible issues and raise concerns where appropriate.
  • Create clear and concise test cases, documenting them for future reference.
  • Assist with documentation of test procedures, processes, and results updates.
  • Engage regularly with developers to ensure smooth development workflow, e.g. adding test IDs to components.

Qualifications

  • Experience testing SPAs (React, Angular, or Vue.js apps).
  • Knowledge of performance testing tools.
  • Familiarity with test case management tools.
  • ISTQB or other QA certifications are a plus.

Requirements

  • Programming proficiency: Good understanding of JavaScript, HTML, CSS. Knowledge of JS frameworks/libs like Vue JS, React is also beneficial.
  • E2E framework experience: Previous experience with tools such as Cypress, Playwright, Puppeteer, Selenium
  • Version control: Experience with version control, e.g. Git, Bitbucket, Gitlab or similar.
  • QA Principles: Knowledge of testing methodologies e.g. end-to-end testing.
  • Debugging: Ability to identify and resolve issues in tests.
  • Communication & Collaboration: Ability to work effectively with other team members and stakeholders. Communicate needs to developers to facilitate robust testing.
