  • Job Title: Publishing Manager
  • Job Summary: The Publishing Team is responsible for creating and executing a range of activities, including (but not limited to) Product Licensing, Partner Management, and the coordination of Retail/Trade Marketing to increase the visibility of the Pokémon brand across the globe.
    Within this team, this role will be responsible for building publisher relationships and developing Pokémon licensed publishing products to ensure a strong presence at retail across several markets. This position is located in London and will report to the Sr. Manager of Publishing in the Bellevue, US Office.

What you’ll do 

  • Manage the development and maintenance of relationships with new and existing licensees for all Book Publishing categories.
  • Provide support, information, and materials to licensees to improve development of new products and continued expansion of existing lines.
  • Manage the contractual process from negotiation to execution, tracking adherence to contract terms and receipt of royalty payments with new and existing licensees.
  • Analyse and negotiate new business deals and seek opportunities for growth across new product categories and territories.
  • Assist with forecasting, financial planning, and development of annual budgets.
  • Facilitate quarterly and annual business reviews, provide ongoing updates and presentations to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Engage effectively with the Brand Services team on product development including range planning, brainstorming, and problem solving to create relevant products for publishers and end-consumers in the territory.
  • Establish strong working relationships across all internal teams including Marketing, Brand Services, Licensing, Legal, Accounting, etc. to ensure smooth implementation of Licensing programs.
  • Assist with development of marketing materials, promotional events, and licensing presentations that support TPCi's strategic direction and goals
  • Travel to Book Fairs and partner meetings as needed.               

What you’ll bring

  • Five (5) to seven (7) years of relevant professional experience or a demonstrated equivalent level of expertise.
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or a demonstrated equivalent level of applicable experience.
  • Proven track record of success.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills and ability to interact well with a variety of work groups.
  • Ability to think strategically and creatively.
  • Entrepreneurial spirit with a positive, can-do attitude.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and tight deadlines with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent negotiation, deal structuring and analytical skills.
  • Proven experience with revenue/profit modeling and sound business judgment.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and presentation skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Proficiency in French, Italian, German or Spanish a plus.

Base Salary Range: For this role, new hires generally start between £59,000.00 - £70,300.00 per year. The full range is £59,000.00 - £89,000.00 per year. This range is applicable for the labor market where the role is intended to be hired. The final base salary is directly related to the candidate’s qualifications and professional experience uniquely.
