Co-op Wholesale is growing, and we’re looking for talented people who want to shape what comes next. As a Propositions Lead, you’ll lead the development and implementation of strategies, including pricing, format, and promotions, across our petrol forecourt area: helping our trusted partners to grow. By using market insights to build strong propositions, you’ll make sure we’re always adding value. If you’re passionate about helping partners thrive, and you’re always looking for ways to improve, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.

Why this role matters

Exciting things are happening at Co-op Wholesale. We’re growing fast, strengthening our offer for retailers, key accounts, and corporate partners, and we need great people to be part of our journey.

To make this offer the best it can be, we need to make sure we’re building market-leading propositions that work for our petrol forecourt partners, and setting strategies that deliver mutual success. That’s where you come in.

What you’ll do

  • Shape commercial propositions that meet the needs of our petrol forecourt partners, as well as supporting the development of new business in this area
  • Lead on pricing, product range, and format strategies that help our partners to grow
  • Use market insights to spot opportunities and guide smart, strategic decision-making
  • Build and manage trade plans, including segment-specific promotions
  • Work closely with our retail and sales teams to create materials that bring our propositions to life in our petrol forecourt stores
  • Line manage one of our talented Propositions Managers
  • Lead, coach, and mentor your team, supporting them in their development

What you’ll bring

We’re committed to making our roles as accessible as possible, so we only ask for the minimum criteria. To thrive here, you’ll need to bring:

  • Experience within the petrol forecourt sector
  • Experience working in a propositions, strategy, commercial, or category role within a retail, wholesale, or sales environment
  • Strong leadership and coaching skills, with the ability to influence senior colleagues and partners
  • The ability to drive change from insight through to implementation
  • Confidence working within a matrix environment
  • A track record of building market-leading propositions from scratch
  • Good problem-solving and analytical skills

  • Private healthcare
  • 28 days holiday (rising to 32 with service) plus bank holidays
  • A pension with up to 10% employer contributions
  • 30% discount on Co-op products and 10% off other brands
  • Stream – early access to a percentage of your pay as you earn it
  • Virtual healthcare including GP appointments, mental health support, nutrition and fitness advice
  • 24/7 colleague support service
  • Training and support for your development and career progression
  • Cycle-to-work scheme
