This role is in the Customer Strategy team within Group Customer and Communications (GCC).

Responsibilities

What you’ll be doing

You’ll be working in a high-performing team to identify proposition opportunities and review these to create a compelling case for delivery, drawing on internal and external insight and research to ensure all propositions align to customer strategy and customer need, and are viable and feasible.

You’ll work with colleagues from across Customer Strategy, GCC and other teams to generate ideas and solutions, gaining buy in and working together to bring propositions to life.

You’ll support and lead on work across the full proposition lifecycle from ideation through to delivery and beyond, including the management and improvement of existing propositions. Working with stakeholders from across Nationwide, you’ll also be a source of proposition expertise, identifying commonalities and connections across Functions to enable more joined-up thinking, including the management and evolution of a Society-wide proposition development roadmap.

About you

As a minimum you’ll have:

  • Experience in proposition development, product management or related roles from design through to delivery and with a real passion for meeting customer needs
  • A broad understanding of the proposition lifecycle, including product/proposition risk management and governance
  • Relationship building experience, including stakeholder management and collaboration

  • Resilience and a readiness to persevere in the face of challenge
  • An attention to detail with the ability to present complex information in a factual and balanced way
  • A curious and creative mindset with a passion to innovate

Our customer first behaviours put customers and members at the heart of how we work together. They are the set of behaviours that every colleague needs to display, in every role:

  • Feel what customers feel - We step into our customers’ shoes, using their feedback and insights to empathise with them and to understand their needs, so that every decision we make starts and finishes with our customers in mind

  • Say it straight - We are brave in speaking out and saying what we think – we’re honest and direct with good intent, openly sharing diverse perspectives to reach the best conclusions and using language everyone can understand

  • Push for better - We don’t settle for mediocrity, we challenge the status quo, taking responsibility for continuous improvement and personal development

  • Get it done - We prioritise what will have the greatest impact, we are decisive, and we take accountability for delivering brilliant customer outcomes
