The team leverages quantitative and qualitative methods along-side deep industry consulting approaches   to inform their decisions in a timely and thorough manner.

GLG is seeking a Project Specialist to join our Life Sciences Research Team. As a Project Specialist, you will work as a core member of a specialized team reporting to a Research Director, responsible for executing complex, custom market research projects for a dedicated subset of life sciences clients. This role exists to keep projects moving — managing the operational details of each engagement so that senior researchers can focus on strategy, client relationships, and insight development.

This position is primarily an execution role, but one that demands real judgment. Every project is custom-built to a client's research objectives, which means no two engagements look exactly the same. Strong candidates will be comfortable working through ambiguity and solving problems independently — contributing their own perspective on how best to meet a client's objectives — and equally comfortable recognizing when a situation calls for escalating to a teammate or manager before it becomes a problem.

Specific Responsibilities Include (but are not limited to):

  • Project coordination: Own day-to-day project workflow across internal teams and stakeholders - tracking timelines, managing tasks, and keeping all moving pieces organized so nothing falls through the cracks
  • Quality management: Take the first pass on survey edits, deliverable revisions, and other project materials; flag ambiguities or inconsistencies to senior teammates and, where possible, come prepared with a proposed solution.
  • Client engagement: Participate in client calls and intake meetings; take detailed notes, track open questions, and be ready to raise anything that wasn't captured.
  • Proposal & approach development: Lead the execution of feasibility checks, proposal drafts, and pricing following direction set by senior teammates.
  • Cross-functional collaboration: Partner with internal teams across research, sales, and operations to keep projects on track and well-resourced

At a minimum, you will have the following:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher
  • 1-3 years of market research, consulting, or related professional experience
  • A working understanding of the life sciences industry through education, prior work experience, or both. Candidates should have enough baseline familiarity with the space that learning new topics doesn't start from scratch
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously in a deadline-driven environment

We would love if you also had most of these qualifications:

  • Strong data literacy - comfort working with and interpreting large datasets, whether through Excel, SPSS, R, or similar tools
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong organizational habits and attention to detail
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, client-servicing environment alongside cross-functional teams
  • Client-facing experience is a strong plus — it can be learned, but candidates who've managed client relationships or navigated difficult conversations will ramp up faster and have more room to grow within the role

Highlights:

Salary/Benefits: Competitive base salary, eligibility for performance-based bonuses, and a comprehensive benefits program. Additional benefits include tuition reimbursement, wellness programs, speaker series events, employee resource groups, and various social impact initiatives.

Work Environment: Our offices offer training sessions on diverse topics, fostering continuous learning. We also invite experts and guest speakers to share their knowledge. Our team-focused environment includes community volunteer programs, a dynamic workspace, a mentorship program, and various health and wellness activities.
