Your role
The project Manager, when requested and applicable, provides technical expertise and design input to the Solution Engineering and Operations teams and interfaces with the DE&C teams ensuring that technical solutions and construction design meet operational, technical and customer SLA standards. These projects encompass maintenance, upgrades, expansions, or other operational matters, managed in accordance with agreed procedures and timelines.
What you'll do
- Liaise with site management, provide clear instructions to technicians, and supervise work activities
- Manage external resources and service providers to meet customer and other stakeholders requirements.
- Define the scope of the project in collaboration with Site Management and Technical Ops planning.
- Prepare and create a detailed work plan which identifies and sequences the activities need to successfully complete the project.
- Execute projects according to plan, ensuring compliance with standards, regulations, and H&S requirements.
- Report on project status, budget, risks, and progress according to the agreed process.
- Documentation review for CAPEX infrastructure projects delivered by the PMO.
- Ownership of assigned PMO related Opex and Capex budgets.
- Monitor project expenditures and keep financial records for the project up to date.
- Provides idea management regarding project and implementation improvements, etc.
What you'll need
- Strong experience in a role as a Project Manager in technical / data center environments, ideally in a management role
- Educated to a technical degree at Bachelor or equivalent
- Proven experience in managing complex projects, preferably in technical/data center environments.
- Good overall knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems in an industrial or Data Center setting.
- Relevant Project Management certifications are required.
- Electrical and/or mechanical and infrastructure knowledge on high-available data center or other industry architectures
- Strong Leadership and Team Organizational Skills.
- Has commitment and drive and is open for a changing environment.
- Effective communications skills, both orally and in writing.
- Resilient with excellent task prioritization and a proactive mindset.
ResponsibilitiesThe Manager of Projects is accountable for strategic planning and resource allocation across multiple data center infrastructure projects, ensuring timely and quality delivery. They oversee project execution, monitor technical compliance, and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational readiness. The role requires effective budget and cost management, as well as ownership of audit processes and risk mitigation strategies. Leading and developing the PMO team, the Manager fosters cross-functional collaboration and maintains strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders. They drive change management efforts and process optimization, ensuring all projects adhere to safety and compliance standards. Regular reporting and documentation are integral to maintaining transparency and supporting management decision-making. QualificationsRelevant Bachelor's degree (Engineering, Project Management, Business Administration, Construction or related field) preferred. Professional project management certification (PMP, PRINCE2) advantageous. Demonstrated experience leading infrastructure projects, preferably in data center or critical environments. Experience managing teams in a matrix or cross-border/regional environment. Strong knowledge of compliance, quality, and safety standards. Proven budget management (Capex, Opex) and cost optimization expertise. Experience with stakeholder engagement and reporting at senior management level.
