To handle the whole project process of the construction of multiple advertising structures in alignment with the Company’s and Landlords, Health, Safety, Quality, Environmental standards.
To project run the construction, development, installation and upgrade of the analogue and digital advertising structures.
To ensure projects are delivered on time, to budget and within specification.
Provide technical advice to the business on product and project needs.
To ensure that the internal and legislative standards are delivered.

What you'll be doing...

  • Start Up
    • Support the Development and Planning teams on design, feasibility studies and budget estimating.
    • Appraising new project proposals.
    • Liaise with other departments to ensure all aspects of build are covered (H&S, Development, IT & Operations).
    • Creation of the Project Initiation Document (PID).
    • Procure pre-tender investigations and conceptual designs for assembly of tender.
    • Tender process (produce and contribute towards project tenders, ITT to contractors, tender receipt and evaluation).
    • Work with the JCDecaux Corp Team in France to confirm product choice.
    • Budget creation and confirmation.
  • Delivery Management (Construction Phase)
    • Review project programme and report internally.
    • Handle the design process (engineering & aesthetics) to accurate standards.
    • Troubleshooting landlord issues during construction and ensure landlord relationships are well maintained.
    • Gain approval to build (internal & external).
    • Tender awards, designer and contractor appointments.
    • Lead all aspects of the build including H&S, CPPs, CDM compliance, contractor performance and ensuring satisfaction of collaborators.
    • Ensure contractors perform their contract & project duties.
    • Be confident and clear in risk and variation.
  • Construction Site Health & Safety Duties
    • To review Construction Phase Plans and RAMS for compliance to specification and methodology. Forward to H&S for their approval and handle the process until the CPP is fully approved.
    • Ensure contractor H&S resources meet company, project and legislative requirements.
    • Conduct construction site inspections.
    • Ensure all contractors are regularly inspected and audited for compliance with Company policies and to ensure best value is delivered at all times.
    • Liaise with Operations supervisors/managers to improve overall H&S efficiency and ensure all operational practices align with current health & safety regulations.
  • Handover to Operations & Project Closure
    • Lead completion and acceptance of H&S file in line with CDM regulations.
    • Run approval and handover to operations.
    • Live service acceptance (IT performance & CCTV monitoring etc).
    • Bring Project to close on time and publish lessons learnt.
  • Relationship Management
    • Develop relationships internally and externally with the key stakeholders.
    • Assemble design teams (external and internal).
    • Assist in finding opportunities for cost reduction through design, construction methods, materials and volume discounts and with any ad-hoc projects.
    • Attend regular team meetings and action issues raised by acting upon minutes taken.
    • Conduct regular performance reviews with all contractors.
  • Finance
    • Negotiate with contractors on best price before placing orders.
    • Agree payment schedules for projects
    • Handle project variations, track & control costs
    • Receipt all purchase orders
    • Have an eye for figures, appreciate cost control and budgets.
    • Projects typically range in value from £50k to £2m.

    • Professional and strong communicator - both written and spoken.
    • Good presentation skills.
    • Innovative and self-motivated; good time-management.
    • Investigative and analytical skills.
    • A flexible approach as extensive travel of the UK portfolio required.
    • A full clean driving licence.
  • Qualifications
    • Essential
      • Degree in Engineering, Construction or Project Management.
      • Validated project & contractor management.
      • Construction knowledge.
      • Process agreeable - Understand the value of process & how it benefits all.
      • Strong awareness of safety and quality principles.
      • An understanding of CDM Regulations 2015.
      • Fully conversant with Microsoft Office.
      • Conversant with H&S Management systems and aspects of risk management in a multi-site environment.
    • Desirable
      • PRINCE2 foundation or practitioner.
      • Qualified in occupational health and safety to IOSH and/ or NEBOSH Certificate or equivalent an advantage.
