Project Manager
Tower Research Capital LLC, a quantitative proprietary trading firm founded in 1998, seeks a Project Manager to join our Global team.
This team is responsible for driving firm-wide initiatives that require planning, coordination, and technical delivery across all groups including  Core Engineering, Trading, Risk Management, Compliance, Finance and Operations.

Responsibilities

  • Ensuring that projects are initiated, analyzed, planned and implemented so as to meet defined business objectives.
  • Leading  and managing multiple  projects simultaneously, often involving global, multi-functional teams (e.g., IT, Finance, Operations, Risk, and Compliance).
  • Leverage industry experience to proactively request and discern business requirements from all departments. Continually improve industry and Tower knowledge to enhance this capability.
  • Identify tactical vs strategic solutions to problems, and highlight tradeoffs between them, so that stakeholders can make informed decisions.
  • Identify recurring issues with technical debt, and guide prioritization of new projects to address them.
  • Developing comprehensive project plans and documentation, including goals, timelines, resource allocation, budgets, and risk mitigation strategies, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives.
  • Directing cross-functional technical discussions and driving decisions  involving system upgrades, digital transformation, software implementation, and emerging fintech solutions.
  • Facilitating coordination and communication across business units, regions and or external parties fostering strong partnerships and engagement with key stakeholders.
  • Contributing to centralized PMO support by offering project guidance, tools, and resources and to standardize project management practices across the organization, improve planning, tracking, and reporting processes, and ensure alignment of all projects with the firm's strategic goals while managing resources and risks effectively.
  • Determine the appropriate level of administrative overhead for each project, depending on size and complexity. Manage projects for efficiency and execution first.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of relevant project management experience either; in a global financial environment or in a technology driven industry
  • Specific expertise in at least one area within front, middle or back office 
  • Ability to scope, manage and execute multiple projects simultaneously, each with different timelines.
  • Ability to pivot tasks quickly with the evolving needs of the business and to   effectively navigate through ambiguous, high-pressure, or uncertain environments, maintaining focus and delivering results amidst chaos.
  • Ability to support working across multiple time zones, as needed
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Hands-on experience: Skilled in reporting and data analysis, able to create progress reports, dashboards, and KPIs to clearly communicate project performance. Strong Excel skills, including data manipulation, pivot tables, and VLOOKUPs, for project tracking and deliverable analysis. Coding experience is a plus.
