Klipboard delivers integrated business management solutions that help distributors, suppliers, resellers, wholesalers and merchants operate more efficiently and profitably. Our solutions support customers to source effectively, manage stock efficiently, sell profitably and deliver competitive service. Working within the Project Management Office, the Project Manager is responsible for leading the successful delivery of Klipboard products to new and existing customers, ensuring projects are well governed, commercially controlled and delivered to agreed outcomes. 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Manage a portfolio of projects of varying size, complexity and risk, ensuring each project has clear scope, governance, delivery milestones and success measures
  • Build and maintain effective relationships with customers, internal stakeholders and senior leaders, ensuring expectations are aligned and issues are managed proactively
  • Develop, maintain and communicate robust project plans that define scope, milestones, dependencies, resources, risks and key decision points
  • Preparation and management of project documentation
  • Defining project resource requirements and managing the relevant resources
  • Identify, manage and report project risks, issues and dependencies, escalating appropriately and driving timely resolution
  • Management, delivery and approval of all deliverables
  • Manage project finances throughout implementation, including budget tracking, forecasting, billing awareness and commercial control
  • Monitoring, tracking and reporting project activity and project status
  • Change request management
  • Organise, run and document project meetings
  • To maintain internal systems as directed
  • To enhance and improve documentation and processes within METIS as required
  • To cover for colleagues as directed

Skills, Knowledge and Experience: 

Essential Skills:

  • Strong working knowledge of recognised project management methodologies and the ability to apply them pragmatically in a customer-facing delivery environment.
  • Confidence engaging with stakeholders at all levels, from end users through to senior leadership and board-level stakeholders.
  • Experience of managing multiple projects at any one time 
  • Experience delivering technology projects, ideally within software, SaaS, ERP implementation, systems integration or digital transformation environments.
  • Experience of managing budgets and delivering to deadlines 
  • Ability to understand customer requirements 
  • Attention to detail and thoroughness in all aspects of the project lifecycle 
  • Experience of using project management tools 
  • Ability to identify and apply AI, automation and digital delivery tools to improve project efficiency, reporting quality and consistency
  • A continuous improvement mindset, with the ability to identify inefficiencies, improve ways of working and add measurable value to customers and internal teams.
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to customer sites as required, including occasional overnight stays.

Desirable Skills: 

  • Industry specific experience in key verticals such as Builders Merchants, Electrical Wholesalers, Plumbers Merchants 
  • Experience of using or project managing ERP upgrades, implementations and releases
