As a Project Engineer - Mechanical, you will support the successful execution of Flexible Pipe Systems projects by coordinating engineering activities, managing engineering change processes, and ensuring alignment with project requirements, quality standards, and customer expectations. You will work closely with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders across the organization to deliver effective engineering solutions throughout the project lifecycle.

As a Project Engineer, you will be responsible for:

  • Leading the review and approval process for engineering changes within assigned product lines.
  • Ensuring Bill of Material (BOM) changes are complete, accurate, and supported by appropriate engineering justification.
  • Managing engineering changes across interfacing components, systems, and project deliverables.
  • Coordinating the appropriate technical reviewers and approvers throughout the engineering change process.
  • Communicating effectively across engineering, project, manufacturing, and commercial teams.
  • Presenting technical information and project updates to stakeholders and leadership teams when required.
  • Implementing applicable engineering aspects of quality, safety, and compliance plans in accordance with Baker Hughes, customer, and regulatory requirements.
  • Supporting effective collaboration within project teams to achieve delivery objectives.
  • Working in accordance with approved engineering procedures, project execution plans, and company standards.
  • Preparing engineering reports, work orders, technical documentation, and project records.
  • Preparing, reviewing, and approving engineering designs and reports within authorized approval levels.
  • Supporting cross‑technology collaboration and contributing to integrated engineering solutions across multiple product and technology areas.
  • Supporting customer project activities to ensure technical requirements and expectations are achieved.

To be successful in this role, you will:

  • Hold a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college
    (or a High School Diploma / GED with significant experience in Engineering or Technology).
  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of engineering principles and technical concepts.
  • Have experience supporting customer projects within an engineering environment.
  • Possess strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrate effective interpersonal and stakeholder‑management capabilities.
  • Have the ability to coordinate activities across multiple projects and priorities.
  • Be comfortable leading initiatives of moderate scope and complexity.
  • Demonstrate sound analytical and problem‑solving skills.
  • Be able to collaborate effectively across multidisciplinary teams.
