Job Description

Are you an experienced Project Controls Manager looking to play a key role in delivering major renewable energy projects that will help shape the UK's energy future? This is an opportunity to bring structure, insight and control to complex projects while working at the heart of a growing renewable energy portfolio.

At EDF power solutions, we’re delivering an Electric UK and Ireland.

Your expertise in planning, cost control, forecasting and project governance will help ensure successful project delivery. You'll provide the information, controls and reporting needed to support investment decisions, manage risk and drive project performance across the project lifecycle.

The Opportunity

As Project Controls Manager, you'll be a core member of the project leadership team, coordinating and integrating project controls activities across planning, scheduling, cost control, reporting and document management. You'll help project teams make informed decisions by providing accurate, reliable project information and performance insight.

Alongside a competitive salary and potential for an annual bonus, this role offers flexibility to work on a hybrid basis from our office in #London. You'll also travel to other UK sites when required, giving you the opportunity to collaborate with colleagues and stakeholders across our renewable energy portfolio.

You'll work closely with Project Managers, senior leaders, investors and portfolio teams to support the successful delivery of large-scale renewable energy projects. This is a highly visible role where your contribution will directly influence project outcomes, governance decisions and long-term business success.

With technologies spanning onshore and offshore wind, solar, battery storage and green hydrogen, we’re the UK & Ireland’s most diverse renewable generator. By 2035, we aim to deliver 10GW of low-carbon energy – and we’d love you to help us get there.

Who You Are

We're looking for a Project Controls Manager who combines technical expertise with a collaborative, delivery-focused approach. You'll be comfortable working across complex project environments, supporting governance processes and communicating project performance to a range of stakeholders. To be shortlisted, you need to offer…

  • Proven experience in a Project Controls Manager or senior project controls role within large capital or infrastructure projects
  • Strong experience in planning and scheduling, cost control, forecasting and project reporting
  • Experience supporting Project Managers with risk management, change management and project performance management
  • Experience preparing project reporting for senior internal stakeholders and external investors or project partners
  • Understanding of project governance and lifecycle controls within complex project environments
  • Strong working knowledge of Primavera P6, alongside experience using cost control systems and document management systems

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Coordinating and integrating project controls activities across planning, cost control and document management
  • Maintaining integrated project baselines, including schedules, costs and key milestones
  • Supporting risk, opportunity, change and decision management processes
  • Managing project actions and helping ensure agreed actions are completed
  • Producing project performance reports covering cost, schedule, risk and forecasting data
  • Preparing materials for governance forums, investment decisions and key project reviews
  • Supporting Project Directors with project performance monitoring and reporting
  • Acting as a key link between project teams and portfolio or PMO functions
  • Maintaining project documentation, registers and governance records
  • Promoting best practice and continuous improvement across project controls activities
