Job Description

We are looking for a commercially driven and forward-thinking Finance Project Controller & Business Partner to join our team in a pivotal role supporting the full Order to Remittance (OTR) process. This is an excellent opportunity for a talented finance professional who wants to move beyond traditional reporting and play a visible role in driving business performance, influencing decision-making, and partnering with operational leaders.

Working closely with both Finance and Operations, you will take ownership of the end-to-end financial management of the revenue cycle — from order booking through to cash collection — helping to ensure strong financial control, process excellence, and improved contract performance.

About the role

As Finance Project Controller & Business Partner, you will play a key role in ensuring the effective, accurate, and compliant execution of finance activities across the OTR lifecycle. You will partner closely with operational stakeholders to improve financial visibility, strengthen performance management, and identify opportunities to drive efficiency and value.

You will bring together financial rigour, commercial insight, and strong stakeholder engagement to support project and contract success, while helping to embed best practice across processes and controls.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Finance Business Partnering
  • Lead and oversee the end-to-end O2R process including order validation, billing, collections.
  • Ensure timely and accurate invoicing and revenue recognition in line with accounting standards and company policies.
  • Manage CMR process compliantly with a view to maximising positive P&L impact.
  • Partner with business units to streamline O2R processes and resolve issues.
  • Support the implementation and enhancement of financial systems, automation tools, and reporting dashboards.
  • Ensure compliance with SOX/internal controls, audit requirements, and local regulations.
  • Support transformation initiatives related to O2R process efficiency and digital enablement.
  • Provide insights and reporting to senior finance leadership on Project performance, working capital, customer payment trends, and operational KPIs.

Required Qualifications

  • Finance experience preferably within projects business
  • Qualified Accountant CIMA/ACCA Equivalent
  • Strong understanding of cost accounting, ERP systems.
  • Strong understanding of revenue recognition (IFRS 15 or ASC 606), billing systems, and AR controls.
  • Proficiency in Excel, financial modelling, and data analysis tools (Power BI, Tableau a plus).
  • Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Experience in stakeholder management across commercial, legal, and operational teams
