Brunswick is building a firmwide Growth & Performance capability to help our leaders make faster, better-connected decisions about clients, talent, and investment. This is a new, high-impact team within our Commercial capability, with a clear mandate to turn insight into action and ambition into results.
To succeed, this work requires:
- High-quality, integrated, trusted data as a single source of truth across the firm
- Clear commercial insight and judgement to translate data into action and impact
- Strong business partnering with leaders and Partners to shape decisions, not just inform them
- Disciplined delivery with pace, balancing rigour with minimal bureaucracy
- Modern, connected technology and data capabilities that are fit for purpose, joined up, and enable real-time insight
- An entrepreneurial mindset, building and evolving a new capability with a relentless focus on value creation in ambiguous condition
Working closely with the Group Head of Growth & Performance, the Programme Director will drive the day-to-day orchestration, sequencing, and execution of the Growth & Performance agenda - ensuring momentum, focus, and tangible impact from the outset.
This is not a traditional PMO role. It is a senior delivery and integration role at the centre of the firm, spanning two connected priorities:
- Building robust, trusted data foundations
- Translating insight into commercial action and growth
Data Foundations & Integration
The Programme Director will ensure the data underpinning Growth & Performance is reliable, connected and usable, instilling trust and confidence across the business.
Key responsibilities include:
- Overseeing the integration of core data sources (client, pipeline, people, financial, marketing, resourcing) into a coherent, usable system
- Improving data quality, consistency, and governance in partnership with Finance, People, Marketing, CRM, ICT, and AI teams
- Simplifying processes and definitions to establish a single, trusted view of performance
- Ensuring insight is timely, practical, and decision-ready - not retrospective reporting
- Removing friction where data, process, or ownership currently slows decision-making
Commercial & Growth Partnering
In parallel, the Programme Director will ensure insight is actively used to drive growth and performance through close partnership with senior leaders and Partners. This is about application and impact, not analysis.
Key responsibilities include:
- Supporting the Group Head of Growth & Performance on Top 200 clients and priority growth opportunities
- Identifying emerging issues, patterns and opportunities that Partners can act on
- Connecting insights across regions, sectors, practices, and functions to surface opportunities
- Supporting Partners with practical, actionable insight to win, grow, and deepen client relationships
- Ensuring Growth & Performance is experienced as helpful, timely, and commercial - not academic or centralised
- End-to-end delivery of the Growth & Performance agenda across data and commercial priorities
- Clear translation of strategy into focused priorities, milestones, and execution
- Sustained focus and pace across multiple workstreams
- Reduced duplication and simplification of commercial support across the firm
- Light-touch governance that enables decisions rather than slows them
- Trusted data that leaders actively use to make decisions
- Partners feel better supported in winning and growing work
- Insight shaping live commercial conversations, not just reporting
- Faster, more confident decision-making across the firm
- A capability that earns pull and demand from across the business
Hands-on data expertise is helpful, but commercial judgement, delivery capability, influence and relationship building are more important than technical depth.
You are likely to:
- Have 8+ years successful experience at director or senior change programme leadership level within a global matrix organisation
- Have led complex, ambiguous change spanning data, process, and commercial outcomes
- Be experienced working with senior executives in partnership-based cultures
- Bring strong commercial instinct, curiosity, and prioritisation judgement
- Be comfortable bridging data, insight, and business action
- Have the presence and credibility to influence Partners and ExCo
- Be pragmatic, outcome-focused and able to simplify complexity
- Be collaborative, resilient, and calm under pressure
- Be motivated by building something new and transformative in a growth-oriented environment
- Experience in professional services or similarly complex, fee-based environments is advantageous.
