Job Description

This role specifically works on production electrical test systems with the main tasks including:

  • Aligning with the engineering department to maintain the manufacturing electrical test system and ensure it is compliant with legislation.
  • Delivering line side updates to the electrical test system for a passenger vehicle.
  • Conducting root-cause analysis of automotive diagnostic issues.
  • Acting as the lead coordinator for the production releases.
  • Engaging in software validation activities. 
  • Using the required software to provide interactive visualizations of vehicle test data in production which can be used for data analytics.
  • Generating vehicle reports, tester management and configuration. 

Qualifications

  • A good understanding of existing electrical test processes in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience of using the DSA tools set, such as Prodis Automation would be ideal.
  • Experience using Atlassian software, in particular JIRA from a workflow system. 
  • A strong understanding of software development using the VW Group standard automotive Electrical Test System (DSA Prodis Toolchain) from provided electrical test plans. 
  • JAVA software development and verification experience.
  • Competent in using Prodis.Insight and Prodis.Control.
