Albert Bartlett, a renowned leader in the potato industry since 1948, is inviting applications for the role of Production Manager to join our dedicated team. We pride ourselves on delivering high-quality potato products by working closely with farmers across the UK. As a Production Manager, you will be responsible for managing the entire production process, ensuring efficient and safe operations while maintaining excellent product standards.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a brand-new factory within the Albert Bartlett Group, working on an innovative chilled potato production line that repacks frozen product into high-quality, oven-ready chilled goods. The operation will launch with two production lines. We are looking for talented individuals who will help shape the site from the outset and go on to form the senior team as the business grows.

The factory is being equipped with brand-new, state-of-the-art machinery and technology, creating a modern manufacturing environment focused on quality, efficiency and continuous improvement. With ambitious growth plans for the future, this role offers the chance to be part of a developing operation with real opportunities to contribute, grow and progress as the business expands.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage production teams to meet daily and weekly production targets.
  • Ensure adherence to health, safety, and hygiene regulations within the production environment.
  • Develop and maintain production schedules aligned with customer demands.
  • Identify areas for process improvement and implement effective solutions.
  • Monitor production performance metrics, analyzing data to optimize workflows.
  • Work closely with quality assurance to guarantee product standards.
  • Manage resource allocation including staffing and equipment usage.

Requirements
  • Experience in a production management role within the food manufacturing or processing sector.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Knowledge of food safety standards such as HACCP and compliance requirements.
  • Good organisational and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of liaising across departments.
  • Ability to work flexible hours including shifts if required.
  • Relevant qualifications in production or operations management preferred.
