Our ultimate mission is to support one million SMEs in their defining moments, creating lasting impact for the communities and economies they drive.

We’re looking for a Product Strategy Analyst

In this Product Strategy Analyst role, you’ll help define the product strategy for iwoca's German market – designing experiments, challenging the status quo, and turning your analysis into products that thousands of small and medium-sized enterprises rely on.

The team

The DE Lending Proposition Team owns iwoca's lending products in Germany – how iwoca prices and structures them, and in turn, how our customers experience them. The team designs and tests new product features, optimises credit terms, and improves the journeys small businesses go through when applying for and managing their finance. This autonomous unit brings together back-end and front-end developers, product managers, data scientists, and analysts. Day-to-day, the team works in short cycles, using experimentation and customer feedback to shape how small businesses access finance in Germany.

The role

As a Product Strategy Analyst, you'll sit at the intersection of strategy, analytics, and product development – with the autonomy to shape how iwoca's lending products evolve in Germany.

Strategy development and innovation:

  • Define and test strategies that enhance iwoca’s credit terms, including pricing, credit limits, and repayment terms.

  • Identify market opportunities to introduce products or features, grounded in customer needs and business goals.

  • Challenge existing processes and user journeys, using AI tools to surface potential improvements.

Analytical depth and experimentation:

  • Design and run experiments to test new product concepts, iterating based on customer feedback and performance data.

  • Combine quantitative data and qualitative insights to identify friction and unlock growth opportunities.

  • Build data pipelines that help the wider team to monitor product performance post-launch.

  • Use AI tools to accelerate exploratory analysis and generate hypotheses faster.

Collaboration and influence:

  • Drive alignment on product priorities across other teams such as Credit Risk, Operations, and Commercial teams to ensure seamless execution of product initiatives.

  • Engage directly with our Customer Acquisition teams – Brokers, Sales, and Partners to tap into the latest feedback from both customers and intermediaries.

  • Translate findings into strategic recommendations that shape the General Managers' long-term vision for iwoca DE.

The requirements

Essential:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to break down ambiguous business problems and translate complex data into clear, actionable insights.

  • Understanding of business models and key performance metrics such as unit economics, lifetime value, portfolio performance), and the ability to link analysis to business outcomes and strategic decisions.

  • Ability to structure and deliver analytical or strategic projects end-to-end, from gathering context to delivering high-quality work within agreed timelines.

  • Excellent stakeholder communication skills, with the ability to present insights clearly and tailor messages to different audiences

  • An appreciation for experimentation – from designing A/B tests and RCTs to using AI tools to accelerate analysis and test ideas faster.

Bonus:

  • Experience with credit, lending, or financial products, particularly in a fintech or B2B context.

  • Experience with data tools such as SQL and Python, or BI platforms like Looker.

  • Experience working in product-led or tech environments alongside product, engineering, or analytics teams.

The salary

We expect to pay from £40,000–£60,000 for this role. But, we’re open-minded, so definitely include your salary goals with your application. We routinely benchmark salaries against market rates, and run quarterly performance and salary reviews.

The culture

At iwoca, the best idea wins. We model our culture on independent thinking, challenging untested logic, and evidence-based decisions. We prioritise learning and growth, and give people the autonomy to develop in the direction that makes them most effective.

We're a tech company and believe in the power of AI to help us work faster and better. We provide the infrastructure where every iwocan always has access to the best models and where those models have access to all of our data. We will help our people to learn how to use and grow with the new tools available to them.

The offices

We put a lot of effort into making iwoca a great place to work:

  • Offices in London, Leeds, Berlin, and Frankfurt with plenty of drinks and snacks.

  • Events and community-led groups, including running groups, padel, and monthly ping-pong and pool competitions.

The benefits

  • Flexible working hours.

  • Medical insurance from Vitality, including discounted gym membership.

  • A private GP service (separate from Vitality) for you, your partner, and your dependents.

  • 25 days’ holiday per year, an extra day off for your birthday, the option to buy or sell an additional five days of annual leave, and unlimited unpaid leave.

  • A one-month, fully paid sabbatical after four years.

  • Instant access to external counselling and therapy sessions for team members that need emotional or mental health support.

  • 3% Pension contributions on total earnings.

  • An employee equity incentive scheme.

  • Generous parental leave and a nursery tax benefit scheme to help you save money.
