In a nutshell

At Virgin Atlantic, we believe everyone can take on the world. As we continue our journey to become the most loved travel company, we’re looking for a Product Owner to help shape the digital experience of our Inflight Entertainment and Connectivity (IFEC) products.

You’ll own the digital customer journey across IFEC, leading product discovery, delivery and continuous optimisation. Balancing customer insight, commercial value and delivery efficiency, you’ll make sure every release creates a meaningful improvement for our customers and our business.

Day to day

As Product Owner, you’ll manage the product backlog and set strategic priorities for your area. Working closely with engineering, UX, data, insights, commercial, loyalty and contact centre teams, you’ll turn complex customer and business needs into clear, actionable product outcomes.

You’ll lead delivery through cross-functional squads and external suppliers, taking initiatives from discovery through to launch and optimisation. You’ll use research, data, customer feedback and experimentation to measure performance, identify opportunities and continuously improve the experience.

You’ll also represent IFEC in key cross-functional forums, influencing roadmap direction, prioritisation and delivery trade-offs. With the autonomy to lead complex initiatives, you’ll help shape our wider product practice and mentor more junior Product Owners across the business.

You’ll be responsible for

  • Owning the product backlog, roadmap and strategic priorities for IFEC.
  • Prioritising opportunities based on customer impact, business value and delivery feasibility.
  • Leading product discovery, delivery and optimisation from end to end.
  • Defining success measures and using data, insight and experimentation to improve outcomes.
  • Coordinating engineering teams, internal stakeholders and hardware and software suppliers.
  • Identifying risks, resolving blockers and maintaining momentum across delivery.
  • Communicating product progress, performance and recommendations to senior stakeholders.
  • Championing modern product management and agile delivery practices.
  • Supporting and mentoring junior Product Owners.

About you

You’ll have demonstrable experience in digital product management and supplier management, with a proven track record of independently leading product discovery and delivery cycles.

You’ll bring strong experience in prioritisation, value mapping and product lifecycle management, alongside a data-fluent and experimentation-led approach. You’ll be comfortable working across multiple functions and with external suppliers, building alignment and trust while making clear, evidence-based decisions.

You’ll also be confident communicating complex product ideas in a clear and persuasive way, influencing stakeholders at all levels and helping others develop their product capability.

Accessibility and inclusion

We’re committed to making our recruitment process accessible. If you need reasonable adjustments or additional support, you can let us know in your application.

If you’d prefer to speak to someone directly before or during your application, interview or assessment, please contact our recruitment team at [email protected].

We know every role and candidate is different, so we’ll discuss the adjustments available for the role and at each stage of recruitment, and how best to support you.

At Virgin Atlantic, we’re proud to be an equal opportunities employer and welcome applications from everyone. Whatever your background, identity, experience or perspective, we’d love to hear from you.
