The Role

Payments are the backbone of ARQ, and we’re hiring our first dedicated Product Owner - Core Payments in London. You’ll own our payments infrastructure across all markets and payment systems (including crypto). From negotiating with partners to leading integrations with engineers, this role blends strategy, execution, and technical depth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work directly with the founders to build and scale core payments products.

  • Identify new initiatives, negotiate with partners, and scope integrations.

  • Own the performance and operational excellence of existing payment rails.

  • Collaborate with engineering, ops, legal, and compliance to deliver world-class products.

  • Monitor payment flows post-launch, debug issues, and drive continuous improvement.

  • Prioritise product tasks to deliver transaction growth and hit KPIs.

The successful candidate
  • 2+ years in a high-growth fintech, Big 4/top-tier firm(McKinsey/BCG/Bain), or investment bank.

  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills, you're comfortable going deep into data and processes.

  • Highly motivated and ambitious, with appetite to grow into leadership and eventually lead the Core Payments department.

  • A self-starter who thrives in ambiguity, takes full ownership, and drives partners and teams to deliver.

  • Excellent communication and collaborator, confident working directly with founders and cross-functional stakeholders.
