About the role

At Learning Pool, the Product Marketing Specialist is an experienced contributor who takes real ownership of their work and has a solid grounding in product marketing fundamentals. You'll own your segment of the product portfolio end-to-end, bringing together product marketing and customer marketing to grow and deepen relationships with an existing customer base.

You'll work across messaging, launches, and enablement, driving customer lifecycle activity that keeps customers engaged and builds clear pathways to our most exciting new solutions. You'll partner closely with Customer Marketing, Customer Experience, Sales, and Product to deliver work to a high standard.
It's a great time to join. Learning Pool has an exciting product strategy, having recently expanded its product portfolio and with a clear vision for the road ahead. There's plenty of opportunity for Product Marketing to make a real impact.

What you'll be doing

Roles and responsibilities include:

Go-to-market, launches, and enablement

  • Own Product Marketing execution of product launches within your segment, covering positioning, messaging, internal communications, and enablement materials, coordinating across teams to deliver against launch plans
  • Build and maintain enablement assets for your segment, including one-pagers, objection handling guides, and messaging summaries
  • Own and maintain customer-facing roadmap content and product messaging across relevant channels
Customer marketing and retention
  • Own customer marketing activity for your segment in close partnership with the Customer Marketing team — including lifecycle communications and retention-focused campaigns
  • Partner with Customer Experience to understand where customers may need additional support, and translate those insights into messaging and enablement that help them succeed

Positioning and messaging

  • Develop and maintain a messaging house for your segment, translating positioning into clear, usable messaging pillars and proof points
  • Draft and refine messaging for specific use cases, personas, or products, with a good eye for clarity, differentiation, and tone
  • Ensure consistent application of positioning and messaging across all product marketing outputs for your segment

Market and customer insight

  • Own voice-of-customer research for your segment, including customer interviews, surveys, and feedback loops, and translate findings into actionable insights that inform messaging, retention strategy, and roadmap input
  • Build and maintain a clear understanding of your segment's customer needs, pain points, and success metrics
  • Track competitor positioning and product changes relevant to your segment

Who we are looking for

The successful candidate will demonstrate:

  • Product marketing foundations: You have strong experience in a product marketing role, with a solid grasp of core PMM fundamentals, including messaging frameworks, positioning, and go-to-market execution. You're comfortable owning these disciplines for a defined product area
  • B2B SaaS background: You have worked in a B2B SaaS environment and understand the dynamics of a subscription business. You're familiar with the cross-functional nature of SaaS product marketing and how to work effectively within it
  • Customer focus: You have a genuine interest in understanding customers and are comfortable running campaigns and communications aimed at an existing customer base. You understand how to keep customers engaged and help them get more from the products they use. Candidates coming from a customer marketing background are strongly encouraged to apply
  • Messaging and writing craft: You can translate product and technical details into clear, compelling customer messaging. You have a strong eye for clarity, differentiation, and tone, and can produce enablement assets and customer-facing content to a high standard. Strong written communication skills are essential for this role
  • Cross-functional collaborator: You build strong working relationships across teams and communicate clearly with stakeholders at all levels. You're comfortable working in a collaborative, cross-functional environment to deliver shared goals
  • Organized and delivery-focused: You manage your own workload well, prioritize effectively, and flag risks early
  • Multi-product experience: Experience working across more than one product is advantageous
  • HR or learning technology background: Experience in HR tech, L&D, or a closely adjacent SaaS category is advantageous but not essential
