In this role, we are seeking an experienced Product Marketing Specialist to lead our integrated portfolio of smart building and energy management solutions. You will take ownership of our Metering product line (core focus), alongside ABB KNX, Free@Home, and EV Charging solutions. This is a strategic role combining technical expertise with business acumen to drive product innovation and market growth in the rapidly evolving smart building and electrification sectors.

Your Role and Responsibilities

In this role, you’ll help run what runs the world, by taking on meaningful work that drives real impact.

Work Model; Hybrid

  • Define and execute the product strategy for metering solutions, with a strong emphasis on energy transparency, billing accuracy, and IoT integration across residential and commercial buildings.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive product roadmaps aligned with ABB’s strategic priorities in smart buildings, sustainable energy, and electrification.
  • Conduct market and customer research to identify needs, competitive dynamics, and emerging opportunities across metering, building automation, and EV charging infrastructure.
  • Collaborate closely with cross‑functional teams including Engineering, Marketing, Sales, and Operations to ensure successful product development and market launch.
  • Gather, prioritise, and translate customer and stakeholder requirements into clear, actionable product features and capabilities.
  • Oversee the full product development lifecycle from concept to launch, ensuring quality standards, regulatory compliance, and timely delivery.
  • Track and manage product performance metrics and KPIs, using data‑driven insights to continuously optimise outcomes.
Qualifications for the Role
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Engineering, Physics, Business, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in product management, ideally within energy, metering, IoT, or building automation environments.
  • Strong understanding of electrical metering, energy management, smart building technologies, and integrated product platforms.
  • Proven track record of defining product strategy and successfully launching products to market.
  • Experience working with complex, multi‑platform product portfolios and navigating regulated or compliance‑heavy environments.
  • Familiarity with building automation systems (e.g. KNX or BAS) and broader electrification or EV charging trends.
  • Strong analytical, data‑driven decision‑making capabilities with a mindset to innovate, take ownership, and drive continuous improvement.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across cross‑functional, matrix organisations.
