Amex GBT is a place where colleagues find inspiration in travel as a force for good and – through their work – can make an impact on our industry. We’re here to help our colleagues achieve success and offer an inclusive and collaborative culture where your voice is valued.

At Amex GBT, we take a traveler and user-centric view in the way that we design our products and services. The solutions we are building require a marketing focus to ensure that our customers and prospects understand what makes Amex GBT different. As Product Marketing Manager (Individual Contributor), you'll become an authority on our market and customers, the competitive landscape, and, most importantly, our product value. You'll collaborate across our product and leadership teams to craft and implement go-to-market strategies and plans that drive growth and adoption. You are curious, a creative thinker, collaborator, and a problem solver. In this high-impact role you will help to drive significant prospect and customer awareness of our portfolio, and sales growth and customer adoption globally.

What You'll Do:

  • Be flexible enough to adapt to changing duties, responsibilities and product focus areas, based on the changing needs of the Company.

  • Be an evangelist and cross-functional leader who unites marketing, sales, customer success, and product teams to drive business results.  Orchestrate viewpoints from multiple constituents to develop a cohesive marketing strategy for assigned products from concept creation, to launch, delivery and expansion, to upsell—including product value prop, personas and design targets

  • Act as the subject matter expert for your product areas from positioning through to sales enablement.  Work closely with the Product Management and Product Marketing leadership team, sales reps, and internal subject-matter experts to effectively represent the customer perspective.

  • Build product positioning, value propositions, and messaging that resonate with customers and the market, tell a story, and differentiates us in the market.  Drive development of customer-facing marketing assets (ie. fact sheets, sales slides, videos, infographics, RFP language, web site landing pages)

  • Own market intelligence through collection of various internal/external sources to collect representative feedback from all segments/countries on customer need & pain points, sales close-rate obstacles, product satisfaction, and marketing approaches to inform product strategy & development prioritization

  • Design marketing approaches to develop new leads and adequate pipeline to achieve targets; work with commercial team to advance sales cycles through to conversion—which can include participation in strategic client and prospect meetings—and act as feedback loop to overcome sales barriers

  • You will use industry, market and competitive intelligence to inform go-to-market campaigns globally and locally.  Establish and own the go-to-market plans for several product areas, working cross-functionally with stakeholders to complete go-to-market plans.

What We’re Looking For:

  • 5 years or more of product marketing experience in a B2B organization, enterprise software or SaaS/Cloud.

  • Demonstrated success in product launches and end-to-end execution of marketing strategies through creative, original, out-of-the-box thinking.

  • Ability to collaborate and influence across a fast-paced, dynamic and matrixed environment to achieve results, often progressing multiple competing priorities.

  • Have a bias for action and the ability to define and execute go-to-market plans.

  • Understand different cultures and are comfortable adjusting your communication style and working practices to accommodate different levels within the organisation.

  • Have excellent time management skills and high organized, with a proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Are an active learner with the ability to make independent observations and connect the dots.

  • Are flexible: we are a global organization and flexibility to accommodate is essential.

  • Creative thinker with excellent written and oral presentation / communication skills.  Ability to translate technical specifications and capabilities into customer and business value statements.

  • Seasoned experience with Microsoft PowerPoint, Word and Excel.

  • Bachelor’s degree required.

  • Preferred:  Product Marketing Alliance Core or equivalent certified. Experience in the travel industry.
