About the Product Marketing Manager role

Responsible for developing and executing go-to-market strategies, crafting compelling messaging, and enabling sales teams with the right tools and materials. The role will analyse market trends, competitors, and customer insights to refine positioning and drive product adoption. It will manage internal and external communications, oversee launch campaigns, and track key performance indicators to measure success.

What you will be doing as a Product Marketing Manager

Data & reporting 

  • Set KPIs for pipeline-building activities such as Marketing Qualified Leads.
  • Track and share results of key activities, such as asset usage, event attendance, pipeline building, web engagement, and social media performance. 
  • Develop and manage the budget for payment product marketing initiatives.

Industry knowledge 

  • Ensure product messaging is aligned with overarching marketing strategies, making adjustments where necessary
  • Oversee competitor positioning to strengthen market presence

Innovation & design 

  • Create materials to support product launches and sales enablement efforts
  • Develop internal and external communication assets to enhance product positioning
  • Own the execution of buyer persona messaging, ensuring relevance and impact
  • Create external demo artefacts to support sales and marketing initiatives

Planning & prioritisation 

  • Define and implement launch processes, along with tracking and reporting mechanisms
  • Lead product launches against pre-agreed KPIs, ensuring successful execution
  • Align initiative releases with the overall marketing calendar
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to determine the appropriate approach for each product launch
  • Develop marketing, sales enablement, and channel plans to meet launch commitments
  • Develop and distribute external product materials, including the wider company pitch deck
  • Integrate product releases with events and Thredd’s broader narrative where relevant

Revenue generation & protection 

  • Contribute to positioning statements, objection handling, and key messaging considerations
  • Drive demand and usage of the product while managing internal and external communication plans
  • Ensure product training aligns with broader marketing messaging and strategic objectives
  • Maintain an up-to-date library of product training materials, content, and sales enablement resources
  • Deliver strategic account marketing programmes as needed to drive engagement and sales

What you will bring to the Product Marketing Manager role

  • Previous experience in product marketing, with a strong focus on payments, fintech, or related financial services
  • Proven track record of developing and executing successful product marketing strategies in the B2B space
  • Deep understanding of the payments industry, including trends, technologies, and competitive landscape
  • Exceptional writing skills with the ability to simplify complex concepts for diverse and senior audiences via thought leadership pieces.
  • Excellent leadership skills with experience managing and working with cross-functional teams and initiatives
  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to leverage data to drive decision-making 
  • Excellent project management and organisational skills
