Your Role:

The Product Management team provides product line support and service for our investment capabilities. The team is responsible for delivering high-quality content and managing key product initiatives to support new business development efforts.

This team plays a critical part in effectively positioning our products across channels ensuring alignment with investment teams, Client Portfolio Managers (CPMs), distribution and marketing. As part of Invesco’s Global Product organization, Product Management is part of a cohesive team along with product platform management and product development that supports the full product life cycle for our investment capabilities to best align client needs with Invesco business goals.

What you will be doing:

  • Work closely with the team’s portfolio managers and CPMs to build and maintain a deep knowledge and understanding of the investment team, their philosophy and process as well as the strategies and underlying portfolios and accounts managed by the team.

  • Manage month- and quarter-end product collateral update process, including commentary writing, coordinating efforts between departments (i.e. Distribution, marketing, finance, GDS).

  • An ability to interpret complex financial data and translate it into cohesive product/strategy insights.

  • Stay current on market, industry & product trends.

  • Be familiar with commercial business plans for product platforms to ensure alignment across stakeholders and team priorities and objectives.

  • In partnership with the Client Portfolio Managers and investment team, develop & maintain a message for clients and prospects regarding the investment capabilities of the team’s various strategies.

  • Creation and input into a multitude of marketing collateral & communications for client facing teams to use with clients.

  • Support the development of effective product marketing initiatives designed to build sales momentum and/or defend a critical investment franchise.

  • Liaise with key stakeholders within the firm to ensure all data and responses regarding a given product are accurate and consistent.

What you will bring:

  • Relevant experience in financial services

  • Technical skills, including investment acumen, understanding of financial markets and economics, proficiency with Bloomberg, Microsoft Office, Morningstar and other software products

  • Excels at articulating a strategy’s investment process, portfolio positioning and rationale for specific holdings within the portfolio.

  • Working closely with CPMs and acts as a liaison between the portfolio management team and both internal and external constituents on product-specific matters.

  • Must have a strong understanding of the markets and have credible perspective for both fundamental and macro-economic factors affecting the respective asset class.

  • Must have an intimate knowledge of the investment philosophy and process of each investment product supported. This includes a detailed understanding of current investment themes within the portfolio, knowledge of portfolio holdings, risk attributes of the strategy, past and current positioning of the portfolio, near-term outlook for the strategy and performance attribution.

  • The individual will be highly engaged, confident and continually strive to improve themselves, their work, and their environment

  • Entrepreneurial spirit, with a focus on continuous improvement, willingness to take risks, embrace and lead change, determination to find creative solutions to problems. Strong work ethic and drive to succeed.

  • Undergraduate degree required, preferably in business or related discipline.

  • MBA/CFA would be beneficial to the role.

  • Passion for industry and capital markets is a must.

  • Highly developed communication skills, both written and verbal.
