You will lead the development of in-house-built recommendation and AI technology, working closely with software engineers, data scientists and commercial partners to deliver relevant, trusted and inspiring experiences for our customers.

Your role is to turn customer, product and outfit data into recommendations that feel helpful, timely and unmistakably M&S. You will continue to build on our AI Stylist capabilities, expanding them into more use cases across the customer journey so customers can discover the right products, complete the look and feel confident in their choices, while giving our teams scalable tools to optimise performance across web and app.

You will set the strategy for the Personalised Recommendations product area, creating a prioritised roadmap that balances immediate commercial impact with long-term platform scalability, model quality, AI innovation and operational excellence.

What you'll do

  • Define the strategy and roadmap for Personalised Recommendations, shaping how customers discover products across web and app.

  • Develop and enhance recommendation and outfitting capabilities that improve relevance, engagement and conversion.

  • Expand AI-powered experiences, identifying new opportunities to help customers discover products and complete looks.

  • Prioritise and deliver a product backlog that balances customer needs, commercial value and technical priorities.

  • Use experimentation, analytics and customer insight to continuously optimise performance and outcomes.

Who you are

  • You have a passion for creating personalised customer experiences that are relevant, trusted and commercially impactful.

  • You are comfortable working with data, AI technologies and technical teams to inform product decisions.

  • You have experience delivering digital products in agile environments and turning complex challenges into clear priorities.

  • You build strong relationships across engineering, data, UX and commercial teams to drive alignment and delivery.

  • You use insight, experimentation and performance data to make decisions and deliver measurable results.

What’s in it for you?

Working at M&S means being part of something bigger - helping to deliver quality, value and service to millions of customers every day. We’re inclusive, fast-moving and always evolving, with a strong sense of purpose and a focus on doing the right thing.
