The Product Manager will help manage, innovate and enhance the products under the Money vertical by building a deep understanding of the user needs and be responsible for contributing to the product roadmap to serve those user needs in a timely manner.

You will play a pivotal role with the growth of our Money products. More specifically, you will support conducting deep user research to understand our users and customers, regularly assess the competitor landscape, and define feature requirements.You will manage our initiatives alongside internal and external stakeholders, prioritizing projects based on their impact to our key performance indicators. To do this well, you must be an excellent collaborator, communicator, and creative thinker. You must have a ‘get stuff done’ attitude and entrepreneurial mindset.

Are you up to the challenge?

  • Be a thought partner and collaborator with the Associate Director of Product Management for the Money division
  • Contribute to the creation and management of a strategic roadmap that balances user needs, business goals, industry trends and company objectives.
  • Help oversee existing products and define new features and capabilities based upon consumer feedback including validating customer use cases for current and planned offerings.
  • Be able to identify when there is a need to adjust the solution if it is not meeting the hypothesis and iterate with speed and efficiency.
  • Help manage multiple streams of discovery and analysis as well as be able to identify when and where it is appropriate to test quickly versus precisely.
  • Contribute to our user journey through extensive primary user/customer research and secondary market research
  • Ensure all product requirements are thorough, thought-through, testable, and visually successful.
  • Help uncover "the why" behind user needs and conduct discovery by gathering data and insights to form a hypothesis of a solution.
  • Be able to measure results for consumer/customer success metrics (pageviews, clicks, click conversion rate, etc) by working closely with various teams (Tech, Design, Marketing, Editorial, Compliance, etc) to help deliver high quality work.
  • Have the capability to gain in-depth knowledge on the products and how the product affects adjacent and non-adjacent products.
  • Collaboratively work with immediate team members to deliver user requirements, foster collaborative opportunities between teams, and constructively take feedback from team members, stakeholders, and leaders.
  • Fail fast, learn from it, and turn the learnings into successes

Position Requirements

You should definitely have:

  • Three years to five years of similar or related experience in product management, preferably in the financial industry
  • Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent experience
  • Experience in project management and stakeholder management
  • Experience using AI tools to accelerate prototyping and improve workflows
  • Comfortable with working within a data management system or something similar.
  • Basic understanding of APIs and integration workflows
  • Have strong oral and written communication skills
  • Exceptional organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities effectively.
  • Are empathetic and are willing to try to understand our users and customers mindsets and needs
  • Hungry to gain exposure to some complex aspects of product management
  • Strong interpersonal communications and problem-solving ability
  • Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams
  • Familiarity with the Agile scrum workflow and the Product Owner role

It would be nice if you had:

  • Experience in JIRA, Airtable, Confluence, AI tools or other product development tracking tools.
  • Deep familiarity with Agile development workflows, acting as the Product Owner to draft thorough requirements and manage the backlog
  • Experience conducting and actioning user research and testing
  • Background in highly regulated product spaces, with a strong track record of collaborating with compliance and legal teams
  • Experience with consumer facing websites
  • Experience defining a project's scope and conducting all encompassing hand-offs to stakeholders .
  • An understanding of SEO
  • An understanding of SEM
  • Experience communicating with financial partners
  • Credit card experience

  • The anticipated base salary for this position is $70,000 - $90,000. The actual base salary offered will depend on a variety of factors, including without limitation, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, interview performance, and if applicable, the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job.
