About the role

Reporting to the Head of Payments, Risk and Collections, the Credit Risk Product Manager owns ENSEK’s end-to-end credit risk product strategy across acquisition, onboarding, in-life risk management, collections and debt recovery.

You will shape and deliver credit risk capabilities across B2C, B2B and I&C markets, balancing regulatory compliance, commercial outcomes and customer experience while partnering closely with engineering, commercial, design and client teams.

This is a highly autonomous product role where you will make data-driven decisions, influence strategic direction and help energy suppliers reduce bad debt exposure through modern SaaS and AI-enabled risk capabilities.

Key responsibilities:
  • Own and evolve the credit risk product strategy, vision and roadmap across the full customer lifecycle

  • Define and prioritise initiatives spanning acquisition, in-life risk management and collections strategies

  • Translate complex regulatory requirements (FCA, Ofgem, ICO) into clear, actionable product deliverables

  • Partner with engineering to scope, size and deliver scalable, data-driven capabilities

  • Use data to define KPIs, dashboards and performance frameworks, driving continuous improvement

  • Collaborate with clients and stakeholders to ensure the product addresses real-world credit and collections challenges

Key outcomes:
  • Increased adoption and measurable client outcomes across the credit risk product suite

  • Reduced bad debt exposure through improved credit decisioning

  • Delivery of roadmap initiatives with clear commercial value and impact

  • Strong stakeholder engagement and high-quality, data-driven decision making

  • Ongoing regulatory compliance across credit risk, collections and data usage

Experience required:
  • Proven experience as a Product Manager in SaaS, ideally in fintech, credit or utilities

  • Track record delivering credit risk or financial decisioning products end-to-end

  • Strong understanding of credit lifecycle processes (acquisition, in-life management, collections)

  • Deep knowledge of collections-stage credit risk utilisation, including debt scoring, propensity-to-pay modelling, Gini curves, retro analysis, performance tracking, scorecards, segmentation strategies, and working with DCAs

  • Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks (FCA, Ofgem, CRA data, GDPR)

  • Data-led mindset with experience defining metrics, dashboards and experimentation approaches

  • Passion for and experience in AI-driven credit decisioning, leveraging AI-powered platforms, bureau data enrichment tools and predictive analytics to improve model accuracy and accelerate insight generation

  • Ability to work autonomously, influence stakeholders and drive product decisions at pace
