Job Description

We’re looking for an engineer who is curious, collaborative, and motivated by making a real impact. This is a greenfield opportunity within a global organisation, where you’ll join a growing and supportive team helping shape how our technology is used in the UK market.

In this role, you’ll become a local technical expert for TOMRA’s Reverse Vending Machines (RVMs), working closely with customers, technicians, system users, and colleagues across Europe. You’ll play a key part in ensuring our solutions perform at their best—while contributing knowledge, ideas, and improvements as the organisation continues to grow.

You’ll also act as an important link between TOMRA Collection UK and our global teams, working closely with colleagues at our Norway head office to share insights, support developments, and help local teams succeed.

What you’ll be doing

  • Acting as a technical specialist for our RVM products and systems
  • Analysing and interpreting data from machines in the field, and sharing insights that help improve performance
  • Supporting internal teams with technical guidance on machine capabilities and configuration options
  • Serving as an escalation point for complex technical queries, working collaboratively to resolve issues
  • Delivering clear, engaging training to technicians and service teams—ensuring confidence in both current and future products
  • Proactively identifying and implementing performance improvements across our RVM portfolio
  • Supporting the installation and smooth operational start‑up of new machines in the market

Qualifications

What we’re looking for

We’re looking for someone who enjoys learning, solving problems, and working with others to make things better. You don’t need to tick every box—if this role excites you, we’d love to hear from you.

You’ll thrive in this role if you bring:

  • Solid technical foundations and a practical, problem‑solving mindset
  • An interest in technology, sustainability, and making a positive environmental impact
  • The ability to learn new systems and adapt in a fast‑moving environment
  • Clear and confident communication skills, with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders
  • Strong analytical skills and confidence working with data
  • Experience contributing to product, system, or process improvements
  • Hands‑on or field experience (preferred, but not essential)
  • A degree in Engineering (Mechatronics, Mechanical, Electrical) or equivalent experience
  • A safety‑first mindset and structured approach to work
  • Professionalism, reliability, and pride in delivering quality outcomes
